(Jan. 28, 2026) — In a Truth Social post Wednesday morning, President Trump accused Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of contemplating, or committing, “a very serious violation of the Law” and “playing with fire.”

Trump’s statement was based on Frey’s affirmation Tuesday that he and the Minneapolis Police Department will not be cooperating with federal officials in enforcing immigration law.

Known as “Operation Metro Surge,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Frey have opposed the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in the city and state, and each in his own way has unceremoniously asked federal agents to leave and the operation to cease.

Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents have also taken part in making arrests of criminally-convicted illegal aliens, of which Trump reported over the weekend number “12,000” throughout Minnesota.

Tensions rose considerably Saturday after a second fatal shooting of a protester, Alex Pretti, in Minneapolis by CBP officers. The first was on January 7 of Renée Good, who operated a vehicle in the midst of an ICE operation, did not heed an order to exit the car, and continued driving, making contact with another officer who reportedly fired two shots, killing her.

Investigations into both incidents have been launched, DHS has said.

Pretti’s parents in a statement claimed DHS issued “sickening lies” about their son by labeling him a “domestic terrorist” and said he was trying to assist a woman who had reportedly been shoved by a federal agent when he was fatally shot.

The parents, who reside in Wisconsin, also said they warned their son to “go ahead and protest, but do not engage, do not do anything stupid, basically.”

On Monday Trump ordered a “reset” in personnel, dispatching Border “Czar” Tom Homan to meet with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Frey in an apparent effort to reach an agreement on how immigration enforcement might go forward.

On Monday evening Trump said he spoke with both both men, relating the calls had been productive, civil and cooperative.

For his part, Frey indicated shortly afterward that he “spoke with President Trump today and appreciated the conversation.” Without agreeing to cooperate with federal officials, he added, “I expressed how much Minneapolis has benefited from our immigrant communities and was clear that my main task is that Operation Metro Surge needs to end. The president agreed the present situation can’t continue.”

On Tuesday afternoon Frey went a step further, acknowledging having met with Homan with Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara and reinforcing his resolve “for Operation Metro Surge to end as quickly as possible.”

While Minneapolis police are often not seen at the frequent protests taking place, Frey claimed the operation imposes “strain” on the department.

He then stated he would not enforce “federal immigration laws,” which, from DHS’s standpoint, encompasses the arrests and deportations of the “worst of the worst.”

In response to Trump’s Truth Social post Wednesday, Frey wrote on X, ” The job of our police is to keep people safe, not enforce fed immigration laws. I want them preventing homicides, not hunting down a working dad who contributes to MPLS and is from Ecuador. It’s similar to the policy your guy Rudy had in NYC. Everyone should feel safe calling 911.”

As of this writing, Trump is hosting the formal launch of his “TrumpAccounts” for newborn U.S. citizens born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 and a subset of children age 10 and under, and has not commented further on Frey’s remarks.

Thank you, for publicly sharing, Sharon.

USA: Deadly and harmful attorney-lawlessness is never an “attorney-client privilege”!

“Criminals” simply ignore existing prescribed laws (= operating below the law).
“Attorney-criminals” knowingly refuse to dutifully uphold existing prescribed laws (= operating above the law).

Both the positive and negative effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are slowly polluting the wide, wide, world of communication and making it easy for us to be complacent in our way of discerning information.

No one, on either side of the political coin, in the AI machinery is being totally upfront and telling their audiences that what we are viewing/hearing is AI and if it is AI, is giving us suitable source documentation to back-up the AI offering.

It used to be that before AI, we were suppose to take many things that we have seen in person, have seen on the “tube” (TV or flatscreen), have read in the newsrags (new compound word applicable to wood pulp), or have personally heard with a ‘grain of salt’.

Now, AI is not only a terminal employment killer, but it is the blueprint for and the permanent makings of the permanent godfather of AI – satan.

“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44) Source: New International Version (NIV) Bible

Here is another example of AI deceit; but, I am sure there are many examples:

AI has complicated the real truth.

I have a comment on the above, but I also have a comment on Mr. Arnold’s note. Other LEOs have noted the pressure of physical threats, shouting, harassment and intimidation will get to you. Now, you have one of those characters in your grasp. How will you feel? I am comfortable in asserting that they will feel even more threatened in that moment. Is he packing? Well, yes he was. Tell me that doesn’t elevate your sense of threat. Good judgement goes out the window. – Now there is another theory. This particular gun he had was notorious for firing spontaneously. Bump it, drop it, it fires. That could have happened here and it would explain a lot.

The BS from Frey and Walz has gotten me nuts. A sanctuary city declaration is an act of nullification of federal law that equates with secession. It’s not to be tolerated. We forget we had a civil war over such declarations on a larger scale. I believe President Trump is being way too tolerant. It can’t only get worse. Economic solutions for political acts are insufficient. Depriving sanctuary cities and states of federal funding will not work. Instead, political acts require political solutions. Laws will have to be enforced. Law breakers will have to be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned. If fear wins, America loses.

In my once-professional law enforcement opinion (am retired now), the killing of Alex Pretti was similar in a sick way to the killing of Ashli Babbitt. Neither death was justified or lawful. Both were committed in an uncivilized climate of divisiveness, hatred, and fear. Both, in my opinion, had aspects of being executions, especially the Pretti case which certainly appears to have been unprovoked and carried out mercilessly by a group of sworn government agents. Worst of all, I fear, is the likelihood that no one will be held criminally responsible (except by our DHS USBP having to pay millions in taxpayers’ dollars as a civil suit settlement). What happens next remains to be seen.
Forgive me for having the audacity to call to your attention a P&E article written by yours truly just two months ago- https://www.thepostemail.com/2025/11/22/is-american-society-civilized
