(Oct. 16, 2025) — Sounds good, right? However, history again shows us how Academic offerings cannot be trusted at face value, case in point:

In the 60’s, Everett, Massachusetts had a parallel high school, the Everett Vocational High School, which at one point was listed as the most successful of its kind in the entire nation. However, there were rumblings throughout the school system that not only was Everett Voc draining resources, but also tapping into the student body at a time when society was buying into the lie that college degrees were the panacea for all of society’s ills and that denying (spelled; not humiliating students into choosing) the college route was nothing short of child abuse. It was a great sales pitch to bolster the sale of parchment with its accompanying largesse of Leftist Indoc surreptitiously woven into literally every course of study; to be expanded later….

Around 1970, the Academic brain trust in Everett had its way. Everett Voc was shuttered and its machinery and a fraction of its teachers moved to the high school in just a small percentage of the space it had occupied in the original building. It was subsumed into the tepid Industrial Arts program that was, at its best, a show-and-tell of a few tools which were in current use and a few dismally guided substandard projects that kids could take home.

When the last of those Teacher/Tradesmen retired in 1994, every chisel saw, scrap of lumber, paper and pencil was auctioned off even before that Teacher exited the door. And they only tolerated it that long largely because of his tireless efforts to keep it open, and probably due to Union pressure. With that closing, Everett and the surrounding cities it serviced were flushed of any publicly supported alternative to the narrowly defined College Prep route, which was the goal all along where Academics have not hidden their guttural revulsion for anyone who chooses to employ their hands as well as their minds without first having been “blessed” in one of the Indoc Centers where they can seed the society at large with properly-thinking sycophants.

I offer this one personal experience during my college years as an anecdote but admonish you to not think it was a singular event – just the most overtly egregious. As with every other student at any other college or university, I had a list of prerequisite courses to take, most of which had zero to do with any of our chosen concentrations. This one, Sociology, on this day was pre-empted by a note on the door directing us to fill Lecture Hall 400, a stereotypical, terraced amphitheater with the lectern down below. On this day, the not-requested lecture was on nuclear weaponry. Now anyone reading this will ask, “What does that have to do with Sociology?” Rhetorical. It was what on the outside we call bait-and-switch and is at the least considered unethical and sometimes civilly actionable when you get something other than what you paid for. However, Academics are above the Law, Moral Codes, Ethics and simple fair play.

When you consider both stories in the context of what this Kansas college is actually offering, its true motivations could hardly be labeled altruistic or even pure. The degree program is not simply about automobile technology or even accompanied by math or science. No, it is fused to Liberal Arts Courses which are the most culpable, introducing/force-feeding Liberal/Anti-Capitalist/Anti-Constitutional/Pro-Socialist clap-trap of any concentration in all of Academia and doing absolutely nothing to enhance a student’s ability to better understand the complexities of the combustion engine, repair, upholstery, auto finishes, body repair, etc. In the final analysis, what we are witnessing is the insinuation of Academia’s leftist indoctrination into the one area they have had virtually no influence over, the Trades, offering useless parchment for learning a trade while having a back-door access through a melded Liberal Arts program by which to introduce the anarchy they have had free rein to dispense to college students alone.

Calling this a Trojan Horse does the Greeks an incredible injustice, as they didn’t first charge the citizens of Troy for the gift of the horse. Academia (not to be confused with “the” source of Education) continues to prove itself to be the single most insidious, destructive, amoral, self-serving institution man could ever have contrived. In every aspect of human endeavor, from the Pharisees to the great debaters of the last centuries BC and the first AD, the Bolsheviks, the Jesuits, Calvin, Geneva, the 60’s riots and protests, ad nauseum, the arrogant sense of entitlement and right to force change upon entire populations has always originated with Academia. Moreover, it has always emphasized the value of the Collective over the Individual while sowing division between leftist conjured societal classes, a necessary Caste system where the Visionaries lord over the peasantry, the Gatekeepers collect the wealth and goods and redistribute them as their beneficence deems just.

This Kansas effort is not a well-meaning response to a need; it is actually an opportunistic attempt to capitalize on a perceived societal shift back to a balance point in society and a cynical, deceptive attempt to putrefy that one segment of society that has remained out of their greasy hands.

Semper Fidelis;

John,

The whole ball of wax is predicated on the used car auction market which doesn’t do well with a questionable future.

The thought process is comendable but we need to get our country back on track first, to get cities such as NYC back to when common sense was common.

You can’t be driving a restored “shoe box” through a crowd of ANTIFA jerks.

It’s a great idea. I often regretted not taking “How to Bake a Loaf of Bread” in my high school cooking class.

Keep the Faith
