(Oct. 5, 2025) — 6:03 p.m. EDT – The 6:00 p.m. EDT deadline for the terrorist group Hamas to agree to President Donald Trump’s terms to end the two-year war between Hamas and Israel has passed.
It remains to be seen if Hamas will follow through on its written pledge to release all living and deceased hostages it seized on October 7, 2023 after firing more than 4,000 rockets into southern Israel.
The military-style attack was followed by kidnappings and gruesome murders of attendees to the Nova Music Festival and civilians in their kibbutzes, including infants.
The attacks collectively killed approximately 1,200 people, which included more than 300 members of the IDF, The Times of Israel reported in November 2023.
Should Hamas fail to implement the peace plan, “massive bloodshed” will take place, Trump said.
“There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East,” Trump posted on TruthSocial four minutes before the deadline. “These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly. The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details. I am told that the first phase should be completed this week, and I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST. I will continue to monitor this Centuries old ‘conflict.’ TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!”
On Saturday Trump wrote that for its part, Israel assented to the “initial withdrawal line” proposed in the multi-nation agreement which included Israel’s ceasing its bombing of Hamas outposts in Gaza.

In response, Trump wrote, “I appreciate that Israel has temporarily stopped the bombing in order to give the Hostage release and Peace Deal a chance to be completed. Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off. I will not tolerate delay, which many think will happen, or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, FAST. Everyone will be treated fairly!”

On Friday, Trump had asserted:
Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE. Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East.
He posted the “Important Statement” issued by Hamas in which the group claimed a “keenness to end the aggression and genocide being carried out against our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip.”

Trump has often touted his role as peace broker between nations engaged in longstanding hostilities, which include Azerbaijan and Armenia; Pakistan and India; Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda; Iran and Israel; Thailand and Cambodia; and Ethiopia and Egypt.
Since taking office in January he has worked to end the fighting between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
Earlier on Sunday, Trump addressed the “Navy 250” Celebration in Norfolk, VA.

I resigned being an Archbishop to attend my flock.
As long there is but one nonbeliever left, they’ll be no “peace.”
The concepts of peace, ceasefire, goodwill and the Golden Rule are the antithesis of the tenants of Islam.
Somewhere plans are being made to duplicate another 9-11 and an Oct.7.
That’s just to way it is; it’s called reality.
We better get used to it because they’re here.
With all due respect Pastor Dunkin, we best not get used to it because they’re here but, rather, we best eliminate them from here and not let back here.
And the Democrats are hoping Trump is successful right?? Surely they would not want the war to continue even if it benefits Trump, and he is instrumental in stopping this long conflict?
