(Sep. 19, 2025) — In a post on Truth Social Thursday evening following a two-day state visit to the UK, President Trump raised the allegation that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN5) married her brother as part of a scheme to “gain citizenship.”

“Ilhan Omar’s Country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central Government control, persistent Poverty, Hunger, Resurgent Terrorism, Piracy, decades of Civil War, Corruption, and pervasive Violence,” Trump posted. “…All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America! P.S. Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship???…”

Multiple reports appear to show that after divorcing her first husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, a marriage reportedly recognized only within Sharia law, Omar married her brother, Ahmed Elmi, in 2009. Her purpose, it is alleged, was not to gain citizenship for herself but rather to expedite Elmi’s admission to the U.S. and attendance at North Dakota State University with taxpayer-funded financial aid.

Born in Somalia, Omar’s U.S. citizenship itself is credibly questioned, as no evidence appears to exist of her naturalization after she and her father arrived in the U.S. as refugees from Kenya in 1995.

Some have questioned Omar’s allegiance to the United States based on her public remarks which may or may not have been altered by translation.

Trump was aware of the allegation that Omar committed marriage fraud in 2019, if not earlier.

As The Post & Email has detailed, a FOIA request sent by former Omar DFL primary challenger AJ Kern to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) revealed that the agency possesses no naturalization documents on Omar’s late father, Nur Omar Mohamed.

Omar claims to have become a US citizen at age 17 through her father’s naturalization in 2000. Within days of Kern’s posting of a video detailing that, according to Omar’s own timeline, she could not have derived citizenship in 2000 due to her age (18), Omar publicly altered her stated birth year from 1981 to 1982 without explanation.

Had she been 17 in 2000, when she alleges her father obtained U.S. citizenship, she would have been eligible for derivative citizenship.

As a 2022 primary contender for Omar’s congressional seat and after failing to receive a response from Omar directly, Kern filed a lawsuit to obtain Omar’s proof of US citizenship as well as that of an additional DFL primary challenger, Don Samuels, who was born in Jamaica and likewise failed to respond to Kern’s request for proof of citizenship.

Kern has also filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) regarding her receipt of federal campaign funds under the presumption she is eligible to raise them.

In a second post on Thursday, Trump reposted a report from the X account of Libs of TikTok showing the charging of eight Minnesota residents for an alleged Medicaid/housing fraud scheme bilking taxpayers of $8.4 million. All are in their 20s and 30s with the exception of one who is 62, the Minnesota Reformer reported Thursday.

“Does Ilhan Omar know these people?” Trump wrote. “Are they from her wonderfully managed Home Country of Somalia?”

The case is being prosecuted by Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota Joseph H. Thompson, who Trump appointed on June 2.

The Minnesota “Housing Stabilization” program, launched in 2020, was designed to provide housing to low-income individuals and funded by Medicaid. Early last month it was terminated by the legislature “after reports of possible fraud,” MPR News reported.

The “indictments” obtained in the fraud scheme, Thompson said during a press conference Thursday, constitute “the first round.”

“Minnesota is drowning in fraud,” he said at 5:18, enumerating more than a half-dozen programs where “fraud has overtaken their legitimate services.”

In 2018, Omar reunited with Hirsi in a reported legal marriage but divorced him in 2019 following rumors she was “romantically involved” with political consultant Tim Mynett, prompting his then-wife to also file for divorce. Following publicity about the level of payment from her campaign to Mynett’s political-consulting company, the E Street Group, Omar terminated the financial relationship.

DEPORT MUHAMMED-WORSHIPPING muslims BACK TO THEIR HOMELANDS; they generally are not here to assimilate our cherished American values (by defiantly wearing their muslim garb in USA public, for example), rather, they are here to assassinate those values, by intimidating “white gullibles” here to exploit US freedoms today so as to replace those freedoms tomorrow with sharia law!

Who can’t see the obvious today…only the beheaded muslim victims????? http://www.thereligionofpeace.com

The TV show, “The Pulse of the Nation,” has been a strident advocate of deporting Omar for years.

We think it’s about time the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security do their jobs instead of sitting around and talk about retirement all day long as all the other government employees do.

The TV show, “The Pulse of the Nation”, hasw been a strident advocate of deporting every Muslim for years, I believe for two basic reasons: Islam’s Sharia Law is antithetical to the U.S. Constitution and Muslims speak nothing but utter distain/hatred for America and Americans.

I beleive it’s about time the State Department and/or the Departmnent of Homeland Security watch “The Pulse of the Nation” and abide what Henry has been saying.
