IMA’s Marik Hosts Wakefield on Vaccine-Autism Connection

by Sharon Rondeau

(May 7, 2025) — 7:00 p.m. EDT – The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), formerly FLCCC, is hosting a free webinar titled, “Autism, Vaccines and the Search for Truth.”

The session is hosted by Dr. Paul Marik, and his guest is Dr. Andrew Wakefield, a former British gastroenterologist whose reputation was impugned and medical license revoked after he claimed to have found a connection between the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine and the onset in children of autism, a neurological disorder affecting behavior and communication skills, among other abilities.

Marik suffered a maligning of his professional reputation during the COVID-19 pandemic, sacrificing his position at the Eastern Virginia Medical School and losing his certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in 2024 for allegedly “spreading misinformation” about possible COVID treatments.

“This is probably the most important webinar we’ve ever done,” Marik said during his introduction of the subject matter and Wakefield.

Wakefield is now a filmmaker, with films “Vaxxed,” “Vaxxed II,” “The Pathological Optimist” and “Protocol-7” to his credit.

Today the potential vaccine-autism link is more freely discussed, with journalists Sharyl Attkisson and Del Bigtree of “The Highwire” having conducted extensive research on the subject.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is currently studying any causal relationship between vaccines and autism. Founder of the non-profit Children’s Health Defense (CHD), Kennedy has launched a probe into possible causes of autism utilizing data from Medicare and Medicaid databases.

Has the pharmaceutical industry changed the formula of the the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine within the era of or coincidental when there was a marked increase in autism rates?

Asking on behalf of my severely autistic grandson who is over 20 years old.
