(Apr. 3, 2025) — Those painful, enormously frustrating, emotionally unraveling, fear-inciting experiences and situations that prevent us from leading happy and productive lives and fulfilling our destinies, obstacles can be positive or negative in nature, depending on how we perceive or receive them and what we do with them.
It’s up to us to choose…Success is having the right attitude.
Obstacles can be positive and beneficial when we work to transform negative situations in our everyday lives, into outcomes or behaviors that reflect learning and spiritual growth. Through life’s challenging events, we can attain discernment…thus opening the eyes of truth.
Our lives may never be the same, but why should they be? Seasons of change are inherent in every aspect of the Life Cycle. It’s through changes and challenging times that our lives become more enriched, spiritually enlightened, cognizant of our talents and limitations and in closer touch with the ‘King of Creation’ than ever thought possible.
Just as the dry, crinkled leaves fall from the red oaks of autumn, you can rest assured that the rose-pink petals of Easter’s dogwood trees will once again blossom in spring…as the beautiful bluebirds sing.
Seasons come and go…Mother Nature always knows.
Obstacles are simply tools for our development, likened to camera film in a ‘dark room,’ waiting to be developed, with the potential to affect positive growth in our otherwise stagnant lives. As painful and traumatic as obstacles can be, they can steer us to our destiny.
Obstacles help us to gain insight, wisdom and better understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
As Oprah Winfrey once stated:
“Circumstances don’t make a person… they ‘Reveal’ a person.”
So, go ahead, embrace life’s challenges… no matter how painful.
Stay “Christ-centered”…continue your quest to seek peace, joy…freedom and unfathomable fulfillment of your dreams and destiny.
Rebuild your life from obstacles you’ve been given and with Christ turn them into blessings. Be grateful for the opportunity to rise to heights yet unseen. Follow that still, small voice inside your heart. Believe that with God you can achieve all things.
“I can do ‘All Things’ in Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
