Spread the love

Niccolo Machiavelli (public domain)

Dear Editor,

Both Trump and Zelensky are easy to simultaneously love and hate.

Make no mistake: they are both prolific double-dealers… Zelensky with Biden, and recently with the Democrats, against Trump; and now Trump, dealing directly with Hamas (not to mention Iran), against Israel!

Zelensky should have learned from both Napoleon’s and Hitler’s foolish forays into Russia: before sending armour and infantry into Kursk when in WWII, Stalin defeated Hitler in the world’s greatest-ever tank battle, “The Battle of Kursk!”

And Zelensky, before attacking Kursk, should have heeded Machiavelli’s…

“A prince should avoid joining forces with someone more powerful than himself for the purpose of attacking another unless necessity compels him.”

Was attacking Kursk poking the wounded, but so enormously proud Russian Bear in the ribs, necessary (after displeasing Trump by not investigating Biden, Jnr, as requested)?

Yours,
