(Jan. 7, 2025) — At approximately 11:28 a.m. EST, President-Elect Donald J. Trump began a press conference from his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago, with the declaration of an imminent $20 billion investment in the United States from businessman Hussain Sajwani, a real-estate developer.
Sajwani founded DAMAC Properties in 1982, and the company was incorporated 20 years later.
After a very brief introduction of Sajwani, his pledged investment, and the claim it would “never” have occurred had he not won the November 5 presidential election, Trump called upon Sajwani to speak.
Sajwani’s remarks, too, were brief, but confirmed Trump’s assertion as to the timing of the investment. “For the last four years we’ve been waiting for this moment,” he said, shortly thereafter leaving the dais.
The Trump Organization is a “brand collaborator,” Damac states on its website.
On its “About” page, the company says it “has been shaping the Middle East’s luxury real estate market since 1982, delivering iconic residential, commercial and leisure properties across the region and beyond.”
While pictured in traditional Middle-Eastern garb on his website, Sajwani appeared in Western clothing Tuesday morning.
Trump spoke for exactly 30 minutes on a variety of topics, including current White House occupant Joe Biden and his “green” energy policies over the last four years; Trump’s concept of acquiring Greenland, a weaponized justice system and other topics, then opened the floor to reporters’ questions.
Queries focused on several topics, including the possibility of pardons for those arrested after the melee at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 as Congress began its joint session to count the electoral votes from the November 3, 202o election whose results declared Biden the winner over Trump.
“Some of” the individuals arrested did not enter the Capitol, Trump noted.
He indicated pardons will be coming in the early days of his administration.
At 12:08 p.m. EST, Trump invited Steve Witkoff, his Middle-Eastern envoy nominee, to speak about his progress in obtaining the release of American hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023 as it launched a terror attack in southern Israel.
Sitkoff spoke with a certain level of confidence that his “negotiations” in Doha are proceeding well because of “the president’s stature” and “reputation” in the world.
“If those hostages are not back…by the time I’m inaugurated, “all h*** will break out,” Trump interjected at 12:11.
He continued with lengthy responses to various questions, repeating his earlier statement directed at the hostage-takers at 12:39 p.m.

Donald J. Trump’s remarks concerning release of the Jan 6 (2021) prisoners was a weak soft-pedal vs. his request to release US citizens from the Hamas animals.
Both situations are equally appalling and all prisoners in both sets must be immediately released, else those detaining the prisoners must be legally and physically punished.
