First penned in 2007…
Many things have changed for the worse over these past “progressive and enlightened” 67 years since I was a “first-year teenager!”
Having “been around the block” and around the world quite a few times, I’m rather convinced each new so-called sophistication brings an equal and opposing…complication!
Today, everyone who “wrongs” has more “rights” than the righteous! A drongo judge allows that mad dog, Julian Knight, to further spread his evil stain over his victims’ lives because the gullible judge believes it will help Knight’s rehabilitation.
The filth mouthed by a tormented priest (of St Patrick’s Cathedral) is deemed acceptable by many! His trespassing, cowardly and delinquent tormentors escape without the thoroughly- deserved belting they would have gotten in my day, along with high-powered water hoses, blasting them each time they encroached uninvited on private property with their cursed skateboards.
Young men are being bashed and knifed to death on city streets; others are left maimed for life after horrific assaults. Decency starts at home, reinforced by lawmakers. Sadly, our police are prevented from carrying out “real-world” policing! Today, there are no rules, repercussions or retribution; therefore no reformation!
Most Australians are decent people held in contempt by the “retribution” meted out to the primeval “Werribee Seven” by our judiciary (and by the Albanese Government in bringing the drug-running “Bali Five” back to Australian shores) would not make St Peter’s helpers feel contrition for not having oiled a squeak in the Pearly Gates!
Those administering justice and, the upholding of decency; are, in contempt of, and, held in contempt by the vast majority of decent Australians!
