(Nov. 27, 2024) — On Tuesday, former University of California-Irvine Professor of Economics and Director of the Trump Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro surveyed readers on his Substack for issues most important to them for the incoming second Trump administration.
In a post titled, “Drill, Baby, Drill and $50 Oil To Curb Inflation” and subtitled, “Inflation is Public Enemy #1,” readers of the column nevertheless voted overwhelmingly for the “Seal Border” option at 69% as of this writing.
The four other choices, “Curb Inflation,” “Fight Crime in Cities,” “Get Woke out of our Lives,” and “End War in Gaza and Ukraine,” came in at a far-distant 12%, 1%, 8% and 9%, respectively.

Navarro is author of a “China trilogy” as well as “The New Maga Deal: The Unofficial Deplorables Guide to Donald Trump’s 2024 Policy Platform,” “Taking Back Trump’s America: Why We Lost the White House and How We’ll Win It Back,” and “In Trump Time: A Journal of America’s Plague Year.”
I would hope Peter would also help make the correct interpretation of the presidential eligibility clause one of the administration’s priorities too, for the long-term survival of our Constitutional Republic, now that we dodged a bullet with Harris, Obama’s latest hoped for front-person.
