(Nov. 16, 2024) — First of all, allow me to say (again, for the umpteenth time!) that I STRONGLY SUPPORT DONALD J. TRUMP, JD VANCE, AND MAGA.  By the way, I am an independent registered voter from a long ancestral line of Democrats (families of mine who had histories of considerable accomplishments and distinction, no matter their political affiliation).  Personally, I have voted three times in a row (2016, 2020, and 2024) for Donald Trump.  In my view, it is entirely possible that he is the best, if not possibly the only, individual in our country who is qualified (and has been anointed by a higher power?) to save us from the onslaught of wanna-be communism, woke insanity, Marxist critical race theory, and the “fundamental transformation” of our country as preached by Barack Hussein Obama and his swooning and dutiful comrades (some call this transformation a “New World Order,” a concept which was popularized in Nazi Germany and later by the CIA).

To get to my point, President-elect Trump’s cabinet head appointments have been astute.  However, there is one of them that could turn out to be rather problematic.  As you may have guessed, that is the nomination of former Rep. Matt Gaetz.

As I see it, there is just too much controversy surrounding Gaetz.  I doubt I need to tell you what it’s all about; I will just remind you that there was a criminal investigation of Gaetz and others a few years ago by the DOJ.  The principal target of the investigation was a tax collector and close friend of Gaetz, Joel Greenberg, who eventually was convicted of numerous crimes and sentenced in 2022 to eleven years in prison.  Charges were not brought at the time against Gaetz.

In 2023 the House Ethics Committee reopened an investigation of Gaetz (it involved sex, drugs, and other alleged improprieties and/or crimes).  Having received President-elect Trump’s nomination for AG, and possibly for the purpose of freeing himself from the ongoing ethics investigation, Gaetz resigned from the House of Representatives the same day, Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

In my view, obviously with no harm intended on my part to anyone and certainly not to President-elect Trump or his MAGA plans, Gaetz should seriously consider withdrawing from the Attorney General nomination.  The controversy surrounding it seems too great and could pose a political “roadblock,” if you will, to the future operation of the Department of Justice.  At least, that is something which doubtlessly, and needlessly, would have to be dealt with from time to time.

However, if Gaetz were to “recuse” himself (my way of expressing what giving up his appointment might be called), it could very well be considered a selfless, magnanimous and patriotic gesture.  It also could result in his appointment to a less controversial but nevertheless important and influential alternative position in the Trump administration.  Someone else would then be found by President-elect Trump to fill the Attorney General cabinet office.  There are dozens of equally or more qualified candidates than Matt Gaetz (my apologies to Gaetz, but he should understand).  To name only a few:  U.S. Senators Mike Lee (R) and Josh Hawley (R), who are both experts on constitutional law; Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R); and Pam Bondi, a former Attorney General of Florida and a strong ally of President-elect Trump.

First, I don’t believe a single charge against Matt Gaetz. It’s what the deep state does. The dust and smoke of the media are still swirling. The chattering classes can’t say enough bad things about him. As far I am concerned, this is all because he could have the power to bring justice they don’t want.

Trump has journeyed through many a storm. This is the least of them.

So, you’re saying Gaetz rocks the gravy boat too much and an AG must meet the status quo of government corruption where the U.S. has surpassed treason and theft of rights and money? Sorry, the reckoning must come to keep the Republic.

Gaetz was innocent on the first charge that wasn’t even on him. The ethics thing is Congressional only and closed upon his resignation. Again, no proof of guilt; therefore innocent until proved guilty.

Gaetz, whom I met briefly in Florida, is a tiger, unlike the two old farts that Trump mistakenly nominated last term.

Let’s give Gaetz a chance to prove himself. Many current democrat officeholders should be prosecuted for treason. Gaetz is the guy that can do that and they are scared to death of him.

“Many current democrat officeholders should be prosecuted for treason.”

I agree, and also believe many current republican office holders should be prosecuted for treason. This would be the ones who were in office when John Roberts swore-in the fraud Barack Hussein Obama, and they (both parties) did and/or said nothing to try to stop that from happening. They locked themselves into covering for, The Obama Fraud, forever to protect themselves from possible changes of treason for giving America’s government and her military to her enemies……

All members of Congress when Obama was sworn-in knew Obama was a “Muslim Plant” and ineligible, but they did nothing due mostly to fear of being called racist. This is when the Uniparty became more Uni than ever before. Years later this still affects decisions of Congress as they continue to protect Obama and others complicit in The Obama Fraud, to protect themselves……
