Your “Least” Duty: Voting

(Nov. 3, 2024) — To the 41,000,000 “Christians” who have already decided not to vote:

Why??

The Declaration of Independence announced a break with conventional, hierarchical governance, establishing the principle of the Sovereign Individual. It did not reject the concept of need for government, but simply shifted responsibility from a singular sovereign to the People who would self-govern.

The Bible has a lot to say about the duties of the King and the relationship between him and the People (Romans 13). God holds the King (Minister) to an incredibly high standard while admonishing the People to obey him. There are many Scriptures exhorting proper stewardship of resources and personal focus principally to care for family with associated warnings to those who fail to do so (1 Tim 5:8), and even more so to the King who fails to care for his Kingdom and his People (1 Sam 15: 10-35).

For better or worse, our Founders bequeathed to us the Throne. You can claim you never wanted it, BUT inasmuch as Christians claim to believe that God has a plan, which ostensibly includes the details of your birth including where you are born, I submit to you that your duties in this regard are divinely appointed. As such, you are expected to carry the Mantle of the King’s Responsibilities to include Delegation of Authority via the Vote. As such, voting for the US Citizen is not as much a Right as it is a Divinely appointed Duty.

Christians who think they can “keep their hands clean” by not voting are not only violating God’s plan, but also fooling themselves in the exact same way Pilate fooled himself. But God is not mocked (Gal 6:7); there will be a reckoning.

The Election here in the USA serves as the vehicle by which we choose delegates.

The Election is NOT a beauty pageant.

The Election is NOT a popularity contest.

The Election is NOT a search for the “unblemished Red Heifer.”

We have ALL sinned/ARE Sinners (Rom 3:23); there has NEVER been born the perfect person – except the One, and he isn’t on the Ballot!

So we who claim to be Christian are without excuse or personally acceptable lofty reasoning in this regard; we are only choosing to accomplish our divinely appointed duty or alternatively, to thwart God’s plan. As one who fervently believes in Free Will, God has graciously given us the freedom to choose to act according with his clear Will or to choose another direction and face the temporal and possible eternal consequences that both bring.

There is much at stake: Abortion; the definition and sanctity of Rights; the Sovereignty and Security of the Nation; the very philosophy of the Supremacy of the Individual versus the advent of another Collective; the ability to attend to our universal Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness; Civil Order in the Streets; et al, ad infinitum.

The choices before us are not perfect; they never have been, but there are differences. I implore whatever number of those 41,000,000 who may read this to reconsider your decision to sit this out, to cinch your britches, and perform your least duty as the Heir to the Throne of the Nation and Vote, Tuesday, November 5^th, 2024!
