(Oct. 14, 2024) — Every year at this time, the landscape undergoes a magical transformation from summer’s green to autumn’s yellow, red, orange and gold and even purple, with striking combinations thereof and never the same from year to year.
It makes one wonder how the world was put together so magnificently and Who could have conceived of — and created — such boundless beauty.
As I walk down these roads surrounded by woodlands bedecked in their autumn best, I am grateful to once again be able to behold God’s exquisite handiwork as far as the eye can see.
There must be a purpose for the life and activity abounding on this planet we call “Earth,” but for now, I can rejoice in my infinitesimally tiny part in it.

Fall’s bright hues will dim and finally extinguish as winter descends on this part of the world, but like a smoldering fire, they will serve as a reminder of the hope and light which are to come when the earth warms again, renewing the cycle of life.

Boundless beauty is a wonderful and true phrase! The heart of a poet expressing gratitude.
