(Aug. 8, 2024) — At approximately 2:08 p.m. EDT, 45th President and current 2024 Republican nominee Donald J. Trump began a news conference at Mar-a-Lago with a dire warning that “a lot of bad things” are on the horizon, including a possible “World War III.”
He quickly added that as far as the presidential race, “We were given Joe Biden” but a switch was made to “someone else,” who he said he prefers.
He questioned the constitutionality of a change in presidential candidates with Harris having received no primary votes.
“It’s a culture of no common sense,” Trump commented of what he sees of the current situation in the country.
He decried what he said is “20 million people” who have “come over the border” while Vice President Kamala Harris, now the 2024 Democrat presidential nominee, was designated “border czar” and that the media has attempted to black out her track record on the same.
“Russia never would have attacked Ukraine” and the October 7 attack in Israel would not have occurred, Trump said, had he been in office over the past three and a half years, adding that “people [are] dying financially” in what he said are outcomes of the “call” made that Biden won the 2020 election.
He said September 4, 10 and 25 have been proffered by his campaign as debate dates with Harris. “The other side has to agree to the terms, ” he said. “…She hasn’t done an interview…she can’t do an interview.”
Previously, September 10 was to be the second debate between Biden and Trump hosted by ABC News.
“It’s a mental institution on steroids,” Trump said what he sees of the situation in the nation as a result of illegal-alien entry to the country, “because we have the worst president in the history of our country” and “the most unpopular vice president.”
“She was the first one defeated” in the 2020 presidential election prior to the Iowa caucuses, Trump reminded the audience, “and shockingly he [Biden] appointed her ” to be his running-mate.
Harris withdrew from the presidential race in December 2019 for lack of funds.
“Constitutionally,” Trump said, “they took away his presidency,” referring to Biden’s withdrawal from the race on July 21. “What they’ve done is pretty incredible…now we’re running against someone else and we’re leading…you would have thought they would have done something…a primary vote or something…he’s very unhappy…I’m not a fan of his, as you probably have noticed…he got 14 million votes…I think she’s crashing…she’s trying to say she had nothing to do with the border…she went to a location once along the border…that was a location that was not part of the problem. If you listen to Tom Homan,…Brandon Judd, Paul…so many different people…we had the best border in the history of our country. Our country is going down because of incompetent people.”
“I look forward to these debates” and “I think they’ll be very revealing,” Trump said, then took reporters’ questions.
The acoustics were apparently challenging, as questioners were not always heard clearly and Trump often asked them to repeat what they said.
“The big documents case, I won it,” Trump said in a meandering response to the first query, referring to one of four federal criminal cases brought against him presided over by his appointee, Judge Aileen Cannon, who Trump did not name. Last month Cannon dismissed the case on the grounds that Special Counsel Jack Smith, who filed the case, was appointed unconstitutionally.
To the second question about his current poll numbers, he said he is “doing well with white men,” “black men,” and that “black women” could come to support him because he could offer them “security.”
The third question touched on Harris’s failure to choose Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who Trump described as a “bad guy,” as her running-mate.
On Tuesday Harris announced she chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her vice president.
To the fourth question, Trump said the media does not report the “crowd size” at his rallies, which he said is significantly higher than Harris’s over her campaign thus far. “We have the enthusiasm…because people want to see crime stopped; they want to see a country that’s respected…” he said.
He repeated his contention that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine, adding that the “13 soldiers” killed when the U.S. exited Afghanistan in August 2021 would still be alive.
Trump called on numerous other reporters who asked questions surrounding a “peaceful transfer of power” to taxation to foreign policy to his recovery from the July 13 attempt on his life in Butler, PA and subsequent FBI interview last week.
On the latter, Trump complimented the FBI.
The presser was held two years to the day the agency conducted a raid on Mar-a-Lago with a warrant alleging he had mishandled the classified documents over which Smith filed the complaint in the U.S. Court for the Southern District of Florida in Ft. Pierce.
Smith has appealed Cannon’s ruling to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Trump attempted assassination has gone to heights of being an inside assassination attempt !!!! John Cullen alongside expert analysis experts have determined numerous snipers were present at Butler on July the 13th. It is looking to be a professional hit job.Whoever, organized the hit has yet to be determined, but these guys were pros.It has been determined that the snipers were using sub sonic ballistics. A sub sonic round is basically silent, except for the popping sound of the In projectile exiting the muzzle,A recent revelation the shooter (?) photo (dead) was found to be, very likely photo-shopped !!!! in comparison a particular mole found on another suspect (Yuarik) likely determines the deceit (cover-up) !!!!!!! The captured image with the video shows a sub-sonic bullet narrowly missing President Trump. The investigation is on going, find John Cullen on Rumble and You-tube !!!!! John Cullen We found another shooter.. On Trump’s other side.
