(May 23, 2024) — At 2:00 p.m. EDT, The Gateway Pundit founded by Jim Hoft began broadcasting from the site of a Trump rally Thursday evening in the South Bronx, where no Republican presidential candidate has campaigned since Ronald Reagan in 1980.
Trump’s remarks are scheduled to begin in Crotona Park at 6:00 p.m., according to his TruthSocial and Rumble accounts.
GP journalists Jordan Conradson and Cara Castranuovo are interviewing attendees in the runup to the rally, some of whom can be seen wearing “Make America Great Again” hats with a “45-47” insignia on the sides.
In a promo, Hoft teased a guest host who materialized as former congressman George Santos, who was expelled from the House of Representatives in December for allegedly committing ethics violations.
As CNN reported, Santos was not convicted in a court of law at the time of his expulsion.
In a breakaway spot beginning at approximately 3:35 p.m., Hoft interviewed Alex Fahmy, a Baltimore native who in 2022 ran unsuccessfully for the Montgomery County Board of Education, who is coordinating a “birthday bash” for Trump on June 14, his 77th birthday.
According to Fox5, “counter-protests” to the rally are expected sponsored by the Bronx Democratic Party.
