On Monday’s “The Dan Bongino Show,” host and former Secret Service agent, NYPD officer and Fox News host Dan Bongino theorized the Democrats are pursuing a “Secret Plot To Dump Biden” in light of his low popularity, evidenced by numerous polls, less than six months before the 2024 presidential election.
Bongino’s show airs at 11:00 a.m. ET every weekday on Rumble, after which he takes to the airwaves on traditional radio for three more hours.

“That was not a clickbait headline; it is not the person you think,” Bongino teased, referring to the show title. “It’s right there in front of you; you’ll see what I mean.”
At 8:24, Bongino began the subject discussion in earnest, saying several issues are “tied in together” to explain Biden’s recent challenge to Donald Trump to engage in two debates, which Trump accepted; the upcoming Democrat Convention; and Biden’s apparent cognitive decline and possible inability to complete a debate.
“This guy doesn’t even know his name…the guy’s a mess,” Bongino said of Biden. “I’m absolutely convinced right now that the debates are going to be the last straw for them,” he elaborated, meaning the Democrats. “….They scheduled it early enough…He doesn’t want to stop running, and they can’t do anything unless he stops running…so when he bombs and his polling drops another one or two points, that they say to him, ‘Mr. President, you can’t win; we need you out,’ OR option 2, the Democrats are praying one last time that they can stimulate this guy for two hours and that they may be able to rescue his campaign.”
He referred to an article in the Daily Mail quoting 2016 presidential candidate John Kasich, who he said he “doesn’t trust” but whose theory, as presented on MSNBC, he found credible.
Alternatively, Bongino said the Democrats could be considering Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., currently an Independent presidential candidate who believes Trump and Biden have “colluded” to keep him off the debate stage, to replace Biden.
Describing RFK Jr. as a “dyed-in-the-wool liberal,” Bongino additionally referred to a May 17, 2024 Wall Street Journal editorial presenting a theory of statistician Nate Silver, who founded the election-prediction website “538,” originally known as “FiveThirtyEight.”
The new version of the entity Silver founded is now owned by ABC.
Yesterday RFK was a guest of Maria Bartiromo of “Sunday Morning Futures” during which he said he had approached CNN directly about participating in the first debate on June 27, which occurs well behind the scheduled Democrat National Committee’s convention in August.
“If he gets in this debate,” Bongino said of RFK, “[if he] does OK in this June debate…you notice RFK’s taking this liberal tilt lately, too? I think they may be giving this guy potentially a dry run. They know they’re in real trouble…”
Bongino went on to say Biden’s “campaign is dying.”
“Don’t laugh at this RFK theory…,” he continued, reasoning other potential presidential stand-ins are “crazy” and lack name recognition.
He showed video from Biden’s Sunday commencement address at Morehouse College, a historically-black institution, during which Biden appeared confused while looking behind him and possibly reaching for an object in the area of a man Bongino suggested was “an agent.”
He acknowledged rumors that Biden could have been administered “performance-enhancing drugs” in the past, an assertion made by Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC3), a medical doctor, on Bartiromo’s daily morning show last Thursday in regard to Biden’s March State of the Union address.
Biden’s Morehouse speech consisted of “race-baiting,” Bongino asserted, with Biden admonishing the nation for failing to “love back” patriotic black citizens. “He tells everyone they’re a victim, the country hates you…Trust me on this one…,” Bongino commented.
“There are only two scenarios: get this guy through the debate, no matter how you gotta do it, or use the debate to tell him he s****, dump him, and ‘We’ll get RFK or someone else’…” Bongino speculated.
In contrast, Bongino said, Trump, who is “not much” younger than Biden, appeared vigorous and animated at an appearance at the Minnesota GOP annual Lincoln-Reagan dinner Friday night.
After poking fun at Biden’s fragility during his remarks Friday, Trump declared, “I’m going to demand a drug test, too, by the way…I really am,” reiterating remarks he made on TruthSocial and elsewhere in regard to Biden and the debates.
Bongino said he also wants to see Biden take a drug test prior to the debate and pointed to pushback from the mainstream media on the issue as telling.
Democrat operatives accused Trump and one of his sons of “being on drugs,” Bongino said, which he said illustrates their strategy of accusing others of what they themselves are doing.
“Why is the left freaking out? ‘How dare you ask if Biden’s on drugs?’ If he’s not, what are you worried about?” Bongino asked rhetorically.
“Folks, I’m telling you: they got a backup plan right now,” Bongino declared.
