(Apr. 30, 2024) — Approximately a week ago, The Post & Email implemented a new “Comments” feature with an updated presentation as well as an allowance for more replies to comments to the same article.
Some New Capabilities
At the beginning of the section below the key words for each article, a reader can request to be notified of “new follow-up comments.”
Initial commenters’ names are now shown in green, and those receiving replies to their comments are denoted in blue. To the right of each name is a mechanism to “follow” the commenter indicated by a figure resembling an RSS icon; to the right of that a “Share” button connecting to three social-media platforms appears when the cursor is hovered.
Links within comments now appear in bright blue, and a link to copy the comment in its position below an article is available by hovering over the upper-right corner of each comment box.
An array of options at the bottom-left of each comment box enables detailed formatting, while the user may now include an image by clicking the icon at the bottom-right of the box.

My last comment either did not make it out of moderation all I asked was whether the CCP and Mr. Zullo were wrong in July 2012 when they said Obama’s birth certificate number was out of sequence because it was higher than the Nordyke twins’ number.
Mr. Zullo even went on TV to make that claim and said he would be the first to admit it if he was wrong.

BTW, I also included this image of Bruce Henderson’s Hawaiian birth certificate. Helike Ah’Nee has a lower certificate number than Obama and the Nordyke’s even though he was born at the same time as Ah’Nee.
We are just tired of misinformation here. I checked your claims, and they are not correct. Case closed.

Jonathan J. has to be playing more of his boring sociologist type mind games again.This site is not a soap box at the Boston Commons where one can say virtually anything. He knows that. Few if any online sites are “un-moderated”. Of course this newspaper site is moderated. It is an online newspaper.But JJ chooses to play his psych-ops games here.
From what I see of Jonathan in his continuous gas-lighting and trite at times games on this site, I think Jonathan is just a whiner, typical “pajama boy” lefty typing in his mother’s cellar and totally wants his way with everything to say and do whatever he wants, … OR … he is simply playing social engineering, gas-lighting mind games here and trying to demean Sharon’s very well run newspaper site, and Sharon directly, in an effort by “Jonathan J” to make it seem like Sharon is unfair in how she moderates this site. Not so, Sharon is very fair and tolerant with what she allows to be posted in this site’s comments, even those by boring, repetitive, misleading, manipulating, disinformation type OBOTs like Jonathan J.
Let me give you a comparative example. Sharon Rondeau’s limited moderation of this newspaper site is a lot less strict than far-left sites such as Jonathan J’s buddy “Reality Check’s” site. Check out his “rules” shared below. As for Sharon’s site here, you have to be a really nasty, far-left, mind and language manipulation, comment scrolling, habitual disinformation spreading OBOT troll to get blocked/disabled on this, Sharon’s newspaper site, ThePost&Email.
However, as I mentioned about above and listed below, see how Jonathan J’s disinformation side works in their propaganda site(s). For example, see RC’s “rules” update a couple years ago, to the many existing unwritten (keep-out-the-truth from Patriot-Constitutionalists) rules that were there before, at RC’s infamous disinformation website. I think the original RC has passed away. It is now run by some far-left anonymous OBOT sock-puppet. Probably the same person comes on by here to spread disinformation in response to articles that they fear will gain traction. So they have to come here to trash the article and the authors.
That Reality Check (RC) site has been a communist hotbed and hang-out (run now by some anonymous far-left Marxist – just like the past one(s)). It was frequented by red hammer and sickle ball cap wearing Communists like “Foggy” of the infamous Obama fraud supporting FogBow site. And it still is still a home place to plot in background for many of the “natural born Citizen” (“nbC”) Vattel-deNiers that frequent this site and voraciously go after writers and contributors here such as Joseph DeMaio and Sharon Rondeau. Since it is indisputable that President Obama is a natural born citizen, was duly elected twice and served two terms any comment claiming otherwise without a citing a specific court case where either candidate Obama or President Obama was ruled ineligible by name will be deleted in it’s entirety. I like the notification of acceptance for comments.
The spam filter is still too sensitive.
The moderation (and selective disabling) of comments still seems unnecessary.
Not sure about the resultant consequences of the “My content and settings” link. If I click on the “My content and settings link” a window opens to ask if “Delete all my comments”. If I click on the “Delete all my comments” window, does that action delete my entire history of comments that I made from day 1 on this website or will it just delete the comments that I just made to the current article?
Otherwise, this is a great improvement over the previous method.
I believe it applies just to the comments for that article, but I will confirm that. Great question, and thank you for your feedback.
