Johnson Holds Hearing on COVID Response, Adverse Vaccine Reactions

(Feb. 28, 2024) — On Monday, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) held a hearing with expert witnesses titled, “Federal Health Agencies and the COVID Cartel: What Are They Hiding?”

Although clocking nearly four and one-half hours in length, the proceedings begin at the 29:56 mark.

Johnson is one of a small number of congressional members who has sought to hold the U.S. government accountable for its COVID-19 response which saw schools closed, experimental mRNA “vaccines” mandated and a growing number of reports of serious injuries from the shots, initially advertised as a panacea to the COVID-19 “pandemic.”

Johnson opened the session by stating his view that “failure and corruption” on the part of the “global elite” and its concomitant thirst for “controlling information” led to health officials turning a blind eye to mounting reports of serious adverse events believed to be causally related to the shots and their marginalization and censoring of anyone questioning government narratives.

During previous hearings, Johnson has received testimony of adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination which in many cases rendered them completely disabled. In December 2021, Dr. Joel Wallskog, who later co-founded the non-profit react19.org with Brianne Dressen, described his diagnosed transverse myelitis after he received his second COVID-19 vaccine.

A young previously active woman severely afflicted by the same disorder shortly after she received a Moderna COVID-19 booster recently told her story to The Canadian Independent. Kayla Pollock told the outlet that one of the physicians who treated her in the hospital affirmed her suspicion that her condition resulted from the COVID-19 vaccine. After first being told she was suffering from a psychiatric condition, she was twice offered medical assistance in dying (MAID) in lieu of treatment.

Once a trainer of service dogs, Pollock is now seeking one herself, though lack of funds and support from the Canadian government have slowed the process and left her entirely alone for all except ten hours a week.

Two weeks ago, Johnson related, he received an email from a newly-married man whose wife, amid plans to start a family, become infertile following her second COVID shot.

To this day, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encourages everyone six months of age and older to receive one or more doses of “updated COVID-19 vaccine.”

Johnson accused U.S. health agencies of withholding documentation he requested pertaining to his concerns about their COVID-19 response despite the fact that “we pay their salaries; we fund their agencies; we fund these studies…”

Just after the 40:00 mark, Johnson called upon Dr. Robert W. Malone, MD, MS, who pioneered the mRNA platform in the late 1980s. Malone claimed the mRNA-based COVID vaccines were made available to the public “without adequate non-clinical and clinical testing and without full disclosure of patient risk and efficacy data” which “violated well-established, legislatively-mandated patient informed-consent requirements.”

In November, Malone testified at a similar hearing held by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to which Johnson contributed.

On his Substack Tuesday Malone provided an excerpt from the hearing during which Barbara Loe Fisher, founder of the non-profit National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), advocated for “informed consent.”

On that point, Fisher stated, in part:

Demonization of and discrimination against those who decline to get a government-recommended vaccine, or talk publicly about how they or a loved one were injured or died after vaccination, has been going on since the 19th century. But what is happening in the 21st century in the name of disease control, national security, and the greater good, is escalation of an historic denial of vaccine risks and failures that has become a dangerous assault on freedom of thought, speech and conscience, and poses a grave threat to the biological integrity and natural rights of the people. It has been 44 years since my two-year-old son was brain injured by his fourth DPT shot, and 42 years since I watched the Emmy Award-winning documentary DPT: Vaccine Roulette, and then joined with other parents of pertussis vaccine-injured children to establish the charity known today as the National Vaccine Information Center, @NVIC.org.

Other speakers at Monday’s hearing included scientist Kevin McKernan, PhD; Jessica Rose, PhD; former senior adviser to the FDA Dr. David Gortler; “The Highwire” founder and host Del Bigtree; Chief Scientific Officer at Children’s Health Defense Brian Hooker, PhD, whose son also suffered a brain injury following a childhood vaccine; FLCCC co-founder Dr. Pierre Kory; journalist Lara Logan; and many others.

On Wednesday Malone provided a transcript and video excerpt of Logan’s remarks, which focused on “information warfare” advanced by censorship on the part of the media, social media outlets, technology companies and the U.S. government.

“While propaganda and censorship are not new, technology means unprecedented power and reach in the hands of a few companies like Facebook, Instagram, and Google,” Logan said. “As you have heard many times today, they have been allowed to amass monopoly power. And as a result, they not only reach billions of people across the world every second of the day, they have absolute control over what we see and what we hear. Imagine those tools in the hands of Lenin, Stalin, Mao or Hitler.”

Of her remarks, Malone wrote, “It is chilling. It is important. And it is truth.”
