(Feb. 19, 2024) — YouTube channel “Route Rethinker” is providing information and updates on a truckers’ strike which apparently began Sunday night at the suggestion of several truckers expressing extreme displeasure at the judgment rendered Friday by New York-based Judge Arthur Engoron against 45th President Donald J. Trump, who is also the leading Republican 2024 presidential primary candidate.

Engoron, who presided after New York Attorney General Letitia James accused Trump and the Trump Organization of inflating property values to obtain more favorable business loans, additionally barred Trump from serving as an executive of any New York-based company for three years; for sons Eric and Don Jr., the same applies for two years.

No such civil penalty has ever been handed down in the history of the nation, let alone the state of New York.

Trump’s legal team has promised to appeal the ruling, which requires the company to post a bond equal to the amount of the penalty.

“For now, the former president can’t appeal the decision just quite yet because the clerk’s office at Engoron’s courthouse still has to file paperwork to make it official,” Fox Business reported Monday.

“Route Rethinker” appears to have been launched to assist individuals considering relocating from California to Texas, among other places, and pledges to “offer concise insights into moving, safety, and the latest news to guide your journey to a safer, more fulfilling destination. Join us for essential relocation tips and updates, making your next move informed and strategic.”

At approximately noon EST Monday, the latest video reported, “EVERY Truck Stop in NYC is a GHOST TOWN | BOYCOTT Begins for Trump’s $355M Ruling.”

While the narrator of the video said a seven-day boycott of deliveries to New York City was generally agreed upon by those participating, some drivers are considering bans of much longer duration, perhaps indefinitely or until the ruling is altered in some way.

Throughout Monday, the hashtag #TruckersforTrump trended on “X,” formerly Twitter, as did hashtags “New York City” and later, “Let’s Go Brandon,” a verbal meme substituting for an obscenity directed at White House occupant Joe Biden coined at an October 2, 2o21 Nascar race.

According to radio host and commentator Glenn Beck mid-afternoon on Monday, several truckers with whom he reported having spoken resolved not to deliver loads to New York City, some permanently.

Another trucker who joined the boycott said on “X” the movement “could shut New York City down… if New York loses just 10 percent of the trucks going there, their prices are going to skyrocket on everything, from milk to eggs to any type of goods that the consumer needs.”

In a related event, a GoFundMe account launched to “Fund the $355M Unjust Judgment” has raised, as of 8:47 p.m. EST, $564,595.
