(Oct. 18, 2023) — As reported by “X” and TruthSocial commentator “DC_Draino” on October 10, six members of the U.S. Senate have officially represented in writing an assertion that COVID-19 “vaccines” have led to injuries, including cardiac concerns.
A Trump supporter, attorney, social-media personality and public speaker whose real name is Rogan O’Handley, “Draino” has related on “X” the story of a 24-year-old former U.S. Navy sailor discharged after a finding of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination, which U.S. Defense Department Secretary Lloyd Austin mandated in August 2021 under orders from Joe Biden.
The story began, O’Handley reported on September 22, when he was greeted by “a follower” while “working out at the gym.” He elaborated:
He served in the Navy, is now 24 years old, and a very fit guy Told me they forced him to take Moderna – he resisted but didn’t want to get discharged so he complied
Got myocarditis.
Navy discharged him anyway b/c his heart is so damaged
He’s applying for VA disability benefits and he said they’re pushing back on his vax injury saying it’s “not service related”
WHAT
This is the most heartbreaking and infuriating story I’ve heard in a long time
Not only have thousands of soldiers been severely injured by Biden’s unnecessary vax mandates, but now the VA is playing games with their livelihoods
Seeing the heartbreak in this guy’s eyes changed me
I’ll make this a core issue going into 2024 and beyond
We can’t un-inject these brave Americans, but we can certainly pay them for their injuries acquired against their will in service of our country
On October 10, O’Handley followed up with:
BREAKING: 24 year old Navy Vet discharged due to myocarditis from the Covid vaccine has just changed the nation
6 US Senators sent letter to Dept. of Veteran Affairs investigating why they’re denying disability claims for C19 vax injuries
All of this started b/c a follower came up to me in the gym and told me his story
I posted about it, Senator @marcorubio’s staff reached out to help, and now nationwide policies are being changed so that *every* Veteran can be compensated for their vaccine injuries
In a letter dated October 6, 2023 posted by O’Handley, the six senators — Steve Daines (R-MT); Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rick Scott (R-FL), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Mike Braun (R-IN), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) — wrote to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough inquiring as to how service members might be evaluated for “vaccine-related injuries in determining VA benefits and disability claims.”
The vaccine mandate has since been repealed, the senators noted in their letter. In a “Memorandum for Senior Pentagon Leadership” dated January 10, 2023, Austin acknowledged the passage of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023″ the previous month requiring him to withdraw the mandate.
After the edict took effect, thousands of military members’ requests for religious exemptions to the vaccine were not honored, according to Military.com in January. Some adverse or non-decisions led to legal action and involuntary separation, with one such lawsuit settled last week with a $1.8 million payout, the Navy Times reported.
However, in the memorandum Austin contended, “Religious liberty is a foundational principle of enduring importance in America, enshrined in our Constitution and other sources of Federal law. Service members have the right to observe the tenets of the religion or to observe the religion at all, as provided in applicable Federal law and Departmental policy…For Service members administratively discharged on the sole basis that the Service member failed to obey a lawful order to receive a vaccine for COVID-19, the Department is precluded by law from awarding any characterization less than a general (under honorable conditions) discharge. Former Service members may petition their Military Department’s Discharge Review Boards and Boards for Correction of Military or Naval Records to individually request a correction to their personnel records…”
Early last year a federal judge issued an opinion supporting Austin’s later statement. At the time, CNN reported, the “US military has approved religious exemptions to vaccine mandate for 15 service members out of 16,000 requests.”
Concluding their two-page letter, the senators requested Austin provide responses to four questions:
- What is the VA’s process for considering COVID-19 vaccine injuries for disability claims?
- Does the VA consider COVID-19 vaccine injuries as service-related if the service member received the vaccine during service?
- Has the VA investigated the health effects of COVID-19 vaccine injuries?
- What resources does the VA provide service members who are concerned that a COVID-19 vaccination led to their injury?
The CDC has divulged that concerns have arisen connecting myocarditis and pericarditis to COVID-19 vaccines while claiming such reports to be “rare.” As of October 3, the CDC stated:
Myocarditis and pericarditis have rarely been reported. When reported, the cases have especially been in adolescents and young adult males within several days after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna).
- More often after the second dose
- Usually within a week of vaccination
- Most patients with myocarditis or pericarditis who received care responded well to medicine and rest and felt better quickly.
- Patients can usually return to their normal daily activities after their symptoms improve.
- Those who have been diagnosed with myocarditis should consult with their cardiologist (heart doctor) about return to exercise or sports.
It also advises those with “any of the specific or general symptoms of myocarditis or pericarditis especially if it’s within a week after COVID-19 vaccination” to “seek medical care.”

On October 6, the CDC issued further advice:
An 8-week interval between the first and second COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna, Novavax, and Pfizer-BioNTech) doses might be optimal for some people as it might reduce the small risk of myocarditis and pericarditis associated with these vaccines.
While absolute risk remains small, an elevated risk for myocarditis and pericarditis has been observed among mRNA COVID-19 vaccine recipients, particularly in males ages 12–39 years (see COVID-19 vaccination and myocarditis and pericarditis for additional information). Cases of myocarditis and pericarditis were identified in clinical trials of Novavax COVID-19 Vaccine and through passive surveillance during post-authorization use outside the United States.
According to cardiologist, internist, and medical author Dr. Peter McCullough on October 1:
Up to June 16th, 2023, the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) included 1,569,668 adverse event reports associated with COVID-19 vaccines, including 35,487 deaths, 27,229 myocarditis and pericarditis, and 20,184 heart attack reports (US domestic/foreign). Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Meissner reported that 86% of VAERS entries were completed by medical personnel or vaccine manufacturers and only 14% were made by the patient or their family. Thus, VAERS has demonstrated a very strong crude signal for myocarditis as an accepted complication of COVID-19 vaccination, however, additional information can be gleaned from autopsy in cases of death that are suspected to be caused by COVID-19 immunization. In fact, Walach et al stated that all deaths after COVID-19 vaccination should be investigated with an autopsy to better our understanding of the vaccines deleterious mechanisms on the human body. Autopsies represent one of the most powerful diagnostic methods in medicine, ascertaining causes of death and elucidating the pathophysiological mechanisms of disease. COVID-19 vaccines exhibit multiple mechanisms of injury to the cardiovascular system and are associated with a considerable number of adverse event reports, thus representing an exposure that is causally linked to death in some cases.
Dr. Pierre Kory, MD, MPA, a pulmonary physician, lists “myocarditis, pericarditis, and cardiomyopathy” first in a long litany of side effects he reported gleaned from “Over 3,000 peer-reviewed articles” on side effects of COVID vaccines.
Kory has treated patients with both “long COVID” and COVID “Vaccine Injury Syndrome,” he wrote on September 14.
In a research paper published at Cureus and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2022:
Myocarditis is one of the complications reported with COVID-19 vaccines, particularly both Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines. Most of the published data about this association come from case reports and series…
COVID-19, caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, led to a worldwide pandemic and a public health emergency. Prodigious immunization campaigns have been initiated throughout the world as per the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations. This has led to the use of several types of coronavirus vaccines. These include mRNA-based vaccines, inactivated whole viral vaccines, and recombinant adenoviral vector vaccines [3,4]. The accelerated spread of the virus, as well as the unfortunate significant mortality associated with its replication, led to the emergency use of COVID-19 vaccines; the emergency approval of vaccines being against the normal standard protocol of multiple clinical trials taking place to prove the safety of the vaccines. This led to several mild to moderate and serious side effects that have been studied extensively. Few systemic reviews have been published in the past to describe the key characteristics of patients developing COVID-19 myocarditis after receiving vaccinations against the disease. It is important to mention that the most common vaccines received by patients were Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca vaccines [7,8]. A major side effect reported was myocarditis associated with these vaccines [9]. Myocarditis was more common in patients who received the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine as compared to the non-mRNA vaccine and was also higher in patients who received the second dose of the vaccine. It was also reported to be more common in males and in patients aged 16-39 years [9,10]. The aim of this systemic review is to assess various risk factors and the association of these vaccines with myocarditis.
The occurrence of myocarditis and pericarditis following COVID-19 vaccination has been reported in an article in a Canadian medical publication following that country’s vaccine edict, which mirrored that of the Biden regime.
While extensively “fact-checked” by the media, British cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra, once a strong proponent of the vaccines, believes his father died prematurely as a result of receiving the shots and has since turned to educating the public about connections between large pharmaceutical companies and social-media sites such as Meta, Facebook’s parent company, while maintaining the vaccines are detrimental to human health as a public speaker.
Myocarditis was a known reported side effect from the vaccines, according to a paper published in December 2021, approximately one year after the injectables were made available to the public.
