Dear Editor,
Labor has often been referred to as “The Party of the People” and/or “The People’s Party”. Well, now, the Victorian people have, in effect, been slugged some $600 million by now by Premier Jacinta Allan’s ineptness for her axing of the 2026 Commonwealth Games as by then-Premier Daniel Andrews, the man who’s taken his Victorian taxpayer-funded $300K a year pension and bolted out of sight down one of those massive pot-holes swallowing Victorians’ car (drivers and all)!
This bloke wonders if there’s any sex discrimination when naming axe-heads: Dan or Jacinta? Because there’s a wonderful old Turkish adage:
“The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the Axe, for the Axe was clever, and convinced the Trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them.”
