(Jul. 28, 2023) — After reposting Dr. Joseph Mercola’s article announcing the closure of his company and officers’ bank accounts Thursday, The Post & Email contacted Chase Bank to inquire as to the reason.

We contacted Briana Curran, the media representative for our region, who referred the inquiry to an Allison Reed.

Our questions were:

Why did Chase close the accounts of Dr. Joseph Mercola and his executive officers, their spouses and children? Is that not against the law in Florida, where Dr. Mercola is based?

At 4:49 p.m. Thursday, Reed responded:

For privacy reasons, we can’t discuss customer relationships, but we don’t close accounts because of political affiliations, and we didn’t do so in this case.

We followed up with, “What are ‘AML’ and ‘KYC’?” to which Reed responded, “Hi Sharon – sorry, anti-money laundering and know your customer.”

Take a look at 1st Source Bank. An Indiana bank that has a presence in Florida. The bank was founded years ago by a family from South Bend, Indiana. There is a local office in Sarasota. They have plans to open in the Naples area. I had accounts at Chase bank and closed them several years ago. After what they have done, I plan to close my credit card accounts with them. No more chase for me!

I complained about this matter with local Chase Branch here In Naples. The Mgr. didn’t even know about it happening to DR. Mercola and his family regarding Chase closing him and his family accounts. A case was made for me from my complaint, and today tried to find out update about it, since I rec’d letter saying they tried to reach me but couldn’t. The calls must have gone into Spam, so I called the number reflected in the letter. It’s been well over 15 minutes of my time speaking with people who are inept, in the Phillipines and reflect a NON CUSTOMER friendly attitude, since none of the people I spoke with could not help me. I asked to speak to the person who wrote me the letter and none of the people knew who I was talking about. The frustration resulted in INSULT, from me the customer pushed around from one place to another on the phone. Their phone numbers are out of control with extentions of 10 numbers. This experience has led me to shop for another bank. JUst coming to mind, this is a great plan for these companies. They block the customer out of their business. You are not to ask questions….We are losing control in everything we do. People must take a look and see the loses in this country to the average American in every aspect of our existance.

Pay Pal declined my payment when I ordered TRUMP souvenirs. I quickly defunded my Pay Pal account and closed it.

Reed is being evasive. It is clear that Chase-JP Morgan closed the accounts because Dr. Mercola is exposing the lies in the WHO agenda. By saying what he did, he also left open that the Bank took action for ethical or criminal grounds, which is slander by implication.

Chase for the first time in years denied payment to Patriot Mobile. They can’t or won’t say why
