(Jun. 24, 2023) — 8:50 p.m. EDT – Forty-fifth President of the United States Donald J. Trump is currently addressing the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference in Washington, DC on his administration’s accomplishments and what he hopes to do “as the 47th President of the United States” following the 2024 election.
The broadcast is running at TruthSocial.
In the space of seven minutes, Trump decried the massive numbers of people crossing the southern border as well as the criminal elements, “diseases” and drugs “pouring in”; the fraud he claims took place in 2020 to deny him a second term; the condition of the nation’s capital city and other major cities in the U.S.; the perception that citizens of faith are persecuted in today’s America; his plan for future appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court; the Justice Department’s “reverse enforcement of the law” which disregards equal protection; the “Deep State” and other issues.
“I’m looking at something I don’t even recognize,” he said of Washington, DC following his arrival earlier on Saturday.
“When I get back in office, I will completely obliterate the Deep State,” he said at 8:56 p.m. to raucous applause.
Later, he promised to “carry out the largest deportation” undertaking in the history of the country. “I will invoke the Alien Enemies Act…” he said, to remove “gang members.” As for human trafficking, women are by far the largest victim group, he said.
At 9:08 p.m., he declared a new policy he plans to invoke if re-elected to deny “communists,” “socialists” and others hostile to the American way of life entry under Section 212F of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
Invoking the Bible verse, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” he declared, “I will be your peacemaker” to another round of loud applause.
“As your president, I will continue to stand strongly for pro-life” positions,” he said, and pledged to oppose “late-term abortions,” which he said is the equivalent of “executing babies.”
He said “politicians” must discuss the issue, claiming those who advocate abortions “radical.” “We’ve now given pro-life people something that will be good for everybody,” he said, following the overturning of the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.
The high court overturned the measure exactly one year ago, sending the matter to the states to decide.
“Every child, born and unborn, is a sacred gift from God,” he said to applause at 9:15.
Update, 8:39 a.m., June 25, 2023: RSBN’s complete broadcast of the evening’s remarks is here. Former Trump ally and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is also seeking the Republican presidential nomination, addressed the conference earlier, where he received “boos” after criticizing Trump. Former South Carolina Gov. and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley spoke, expressing her strong pro-life views, along with other Republican presidential candidates.
