Many of us older Australians do (and this bloke will) not betray our past and vast 5,000 years of ‘The Wisdom of The Ages’-established belief in the sanctity of marriage only ever being between a man and a woman, nor that if you’re born with male DNA then a bloke you should always stay.

That said, The Very Reverend Dean Inge said:

“There are two kinds of fools: the first says, ‘This is old; therefore it is good,’ and the other says, ‘This is new; therefore it is better’.”

So who are the bigger fools?
