Spread the love

(Mar. 3, 2023) —

Little Ida sat in bed, covering her eyes,
She begged me, “Make the shadows go,” as we said our goodbyes.

I smiled and encouraged her, she had no need to fear, for shadows are the angels’ backs showing they are near.

They gather ’round when nighttime comes and you’re alone in bed; they guard you from the devil’s plans and give sweet dreams instead.

And when the “shadows” seem to move, they’re fighting for your right, to keep you safe and give you peace all throughout the night.

Little Ida fell asleep, a smile upon her face; I gave a silent prayer of thanks for angels in that place.
