(Feb. 10, 2022) — The State of the Union (SOTU) address is an opportunity for a sitting president, of either party, to broadcast a free infomercial for his administration, spinning it in the most positive light.
But even by SOTU standards, President Joe Biden’s address on February 6 was a real doozy.
What kind of positive spin could the president put on the ongoing border disaster?
Well, Biden made it sound like a real triumph of border security.
Of course, he didn’t mention the chaos, deaths and enormous expense to the American taxpayers.

Here’s what Biden said about immigration and the border:
And let’s also come together on immigration and make it a bipartisan issue once again. We know we now have a record number of personnel working to secure the border, arresting 8,000 human smugglers, seizing over 23,000 pounds of fentanyl in just the last several months.
We’ve launched a new border plan last month. Unlawful migration from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela has come down 97 percent as a consequence of that.
But American border problems won’t be fixed until Congress acts.
If we don’t pass my comprehensive immigration reform, at least pass my plan to provide the equipment and officers to secure the border. And a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, those on temporary status, farm workers, essential workers [Amnesty].
So there you have it folks. Nothing to worry about.
Biden says “unlawful migration” from Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Haiti dropped 97%.
Of course, Biden set up a special program enabling people from those four countries to directly apply for admission and an app so migrants can apply for an appointment to enter our country.
There are still plenty of people on the way to our borders. The news that Biden is letting people in has been noised abroad throughout the Third World.
The essential situation has not changed and the Biden Border Rush is still in full swing.
The Republican Party offered two official rebuttals to Biden’s SOTU.
One was delivered in Spanish by Rep. Juan Ciscomani, the first Mexican immigrant elected to Congress in Arizona.
I believe all American political speeches should be in English, so I don’t agree with this.
However, since Ciscomani’s speech is out there, I will report that he did say we need to “aumentar la seguridad fronteriza” [increase border security] as part of a laundry list of things we should do. Thanks for that.
The English-language response to Biden’s SOTU was given by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Gov. Sanders said Biden inherited, among other advantages, “The most secure border in history,” but “despite Democrats’ trillions in reckless spending and mountains of debt, we now have the worst border crisis in American history.”
“100,000 Americans a year are now killed from drug overdoses, largely from fentanyl pouring in across our southern border. Yet the Biden administration refuses to secure the border and save American lives,” she said .
“President Biden is unwilling to defend our border, defend our skies, and defend our people. He is unfit to serve as commander-in-chief.”
There was yet another response to Biden’s SOTU.

“If we don’t pass my comprehensive immigration reform, at least pass my plan to provide the equipment and officers to secure the border. And a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, those on temporary status, farm workers, essential workers [Amnesty].” — Biden SOTU
Joe “Illegitimate POTUS” Biden can take his comprehensive immigration reform, amnesty and citizenship for ILLEGAL ALIEN Dreamers, temporary farm workers and essential workers, and shove it all where the sun ain’t supposed to shine.
