(Dec. 13, 2022) — In the last few minutes of his Tuesday-morning roundtable on the COVID-19 “pandemic” and the federal government’s monolithic promotion of vaccine products rushed to market in late 2020, recently-reelected Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced he has petitioned the Florida Supreme Court to empanel a “statewide grand jury to investigate any and all wrongdoing with respect to COVID-19 vaccines.”

Such a probe “will come with legal processes,” he added, “that will be able to get more information and to bring legal accountability for those who committed misconduct.”

“A thorough investigation” is needed into “the shots,” DeSantis said, and patient data is lacking from vaccine manufacturers.

DeSantis’s declarations begin at 1:22:19 in the video podcast.

A bill to “protect” physicians from having to adhere to “orthodoxy” will be introduced in the new legislature, DeSantis said, in contrast to one passed in California criminalizing medical speech considered “misinformation.”

“Most of the people who got it right were in the minority when it came to some of the professional opinions…,” DeSantis said, citing “Fauci-ism,” a reference to NIAID Director Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, who is officially retiring on Friday after more than four decades in government.

During the 98-minute conference, scientists, researchers and medical doctors spoke about censorship and the intimidation of physicians from speaking their minds about their pandemic observations for fear of losing their medical licenses and ability to make a living.

Following those revelations, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, MD, PhD, announced he will be launching a project to study myocarditis and sudden death in Florida occurring “within a few weeks” of having taken a COVID-19 vaccine.

The University of Florida and several medical examiners will take part, Ladapo said.

Just before the 1:31:00 mark, DeSantis decried what he said is “the bankruptcy of the public health establishment” which condemned citizens “leaving their house” as a result of the virus but approved it for “George Floyd protests.”

“If that just didn’t take the mask off and just show that this is all just a huge political farce,” DeSantis opined, “I don’t know what is.” [sic]

Such inconsistencies, he said, demonstrate that the “CDC is not serving a useful function” and is not engaged in “evidence-based medicine.”

“In Florida, the surgeon general actually has the ability to convene panels of experts to do various things,” DeSantis continued. He has spoken with “other governors” about his ideas and observations, he said, which include creating a “panel of experts who can counteract nonsense when it’s coming out of these institutions, that are not just going to go along with the flow…”

A Public Health Integrity Committee will be formed, he said, and will “offer critical assessments of things” which federal agencies “are doing.”

“We know that there’s been a lot of faith destroyed in public health,” he said, “and I think that it’s important that we have folks who people actually can rely on when they’re looking for answers and when they’re looking for guidance on some of these really, really important issues.”

Members of the panel Tuesday, he said, will serve on the new committee.

Resuming “masking,” as some “enclaves” are now considering given the cold and flu season, will not be done in Florida, DeSantis said. “We’re just not going to put up with this in Florida, and we’re going to fight back.”

Instead of reverting to masking or consulting with the CDC or “Dr. Fauci,” “fantastic scientists” will be consulted, Ladapo said. Those individuals “also happen to be fantastic human beings who have been able to speak their voice despite all the tremendous pressure they have faced over the past one or two or three years…,” he added.

“We are bringing common sense back to public health recommendations,” Ladapo concluded, thanking those who traveled to the roundtable.

DeSantis, too, thanked the contributors and those who have “pushed back” against federal dictates.
