(Oct. 26, 2022) — Over approximately the last week, several readers have reported difficulty accessing new material on the site. The Post & Email is looking into the cause of the problem and suspects it might originate with the browser readers are using.

If you find an article will not open or yields an error message, please try using Firefox and see if the problem resolves. It will also be helpful if readers experiencing the problem let the editor know at editor@thepostemail.com and whether changing browsers alleviated it.

  1. I am experiencing difficulties using the BRAVE web browser.
My choices are few on which web browser I can use, because I am using an antique (almost) MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra, Version 10.12.6, circa 2012 and I am, along with my faithful laptop, walking the road to obscurity due to the fact that I cannot update our operating systems. Most modern applications and web browsers thumb their noses on my computer system and old people, so I must improvise in order to get limited service.

I think most new web browsers have passed me by – in their hotrod web browser Mercedes/5G . Nonetheless, I trudge on with my faithful MAC and Brave browser.

    Problems occurring:
My ‘ThePostEmail’ bookmark found on my BRAVE browser does not take me back to the most current article, based on the time stamps visible on each article.

Today, I clicked on the three new article links found in my courtesy email that you sent to me. Once on that new web page with the new article, I click on your logo to take me back to the home page. It does take me back to the home page, but the three new articles are not found on the home page that I landed on. The latest article showing is titled: “Lindell Claims Meeting with Trump on January 15, 2021” with time stamp/clock of “8 hours ago”

I do not have Firefox on my laptop. I used to have Microsoft browser EDGE, but it stopped operating on my MAC. I have Firefox on my android cellphone, but it gives me mixed home page problems too. Because my cellphone is getting old, I believe that it is my fault for not updating the system and updating apps when prompted to do so.

I also have website loading issues with many other websites and I get a BRAVE error loading message as follows: “This site can’t be reachedhardball.parkoffletter.org’s DNS address could not be found.”Diagnosing the problem. DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE

So, in summary, I believe that my antique laptop is the issue in my case. Its age must be equivalent to my human age of 77.

  2. No problem opening…however, the “red” print is difficult to read … prefer the “black” print.
on my mac computer monitor. Love your reporting
