(Aug. 26, 2022) —
Beyond the trail, within the wood,
Beside a babbling stream,
A princess of the fae folk stood,
And sang a golden dream.
With nimble hands she plucked her lyre,
The creatures stopped to hear,
And marveled how she didn’t tire,
Then thought they saw a tear.
The lady’s tears began to flow
And drench her silken gown,
With great intent on where to go,
They seeped into the ground.
Then springing up within their wake
New life came from the earth,
Then summer shown, for glory’s sake,
And brought from tears sweet mirth.
So in this truth lays our lesson,
Though hard as it may be,
Tears are a part of progression
And will bring peace to thee.
