Dear Editor,
His Honour, Victorian County Court Judge Peter Wischusen (“Vile child abuser jailed”, HS, 16/7), has earned the gratitude and respect of this grand- and great-grandfather for jailing child abuser 51-yoa Mulia Marzuki for 18 years, with a minimum of 13.5 years before the privilege of parole.
At first, I mumbled to myself that the heinous Marzuki did not deserve to serve less than the 18 years. I then comprehended that His Honour may well have set vile creature Marzuki the challenge of sincerely and wholeheartedly undergoing specialised medical treatment in jail for true character reformation and/or for treatment that may well permanently stem/stop his revolting impulses/desires – to win Marzuki’s release, while simultaneously protecting Victoria’s children.
