Respect the Awesome Others, Please

Dear Editor,

Having long been contemptuous of Novak Djokovic’s career-long appearing to feign injuries/illnesses and excessive ball bounces when serving, etc. to unsettle true sportsman-like competitors, not to mention Djokovic’s seeming contempt for others with his current behaviour/attitude, it must be remembered that all other competitors (not unlike Djokovic) are almost super-human with not only their wondrous athletic talents, but their almost- beyond-description mental and physical toughness/commitment to train/practice day-in and day-out, year after year – forgoing (yes, there are many perks along the way) so much we mere mortals enjoy/covet by comparison.

So no matter if Djokovic stays or goes – please, don’t let us Aussies come down to Djokovic’s level of sportsmanship with our crowd behaviour and take anything away from our own home players and/or international competitor AO guests.
