January 9, 2021
There is a lot of liberal noise being circulated about impeaching President Trump before 20 January 2021, at noon. It seems that there is currently no path to doing so successfully. The US Senate would have to vote to convict the President and the Democrat Party is not in the majority of the chamber at this time.
The two senators-elect have not yet been certified by the Georgia Secretary of State. This is due to be accomplished by 22 January 2021. No doubt he will wait until the last minute and although Senator Perdue is not in office, Senator Kelly Loeffler remains the only voting member from the Georgia delegation.
This attempt to impeach President Trump a second time is a futile effort and displays the same degree of unprofessional hostility and unbridled animosity Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi displayed on national television when she tore up a public document, President Trump’s State of the Union speech. Dishonorable statements from the Speaker of the House should be dealt with by expulsion from the House of Representatives, but the votes are not existing for this move, either. It all boils down to politics.
