“A SELF-DEFEATING PROPHECY”

(Aug. 29, 2020) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the last vestiges, the dying embers if you will, of ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first, or used to be until our TV station was overrun by the forces of evil, of people with bad intent, by idiots who are lashing out as a drowning man lashes out at his rescuer, with the very likely possibility of taking both down to Davy Jones’s Locker, not leaving even a footnote to facilitate fading memories of a past greatness, or at least a feeble attempt at greatness, only to be regulated into the trash heap of bad ideas, a pile as high as Mt. Everest but never seems to grow.
“I suppose that’s the fascination of a ship sinking: an object so large that that one instant leaves not a trace and the only tangible thing left is but a memory, a fleeting thought of what once was, and then when the present generation passes, so too does the memory.
“Hello, my name is Professor Zorkophsky and I’m addressing the annual symposium of ‘The Nuts Among Us,’ a time when psychology experts get together to hash out the problems of the day. As many of you know, ‘Pulse,’ the television station, has been off the air since the studios are in the enemy’s camp – it was located in Chicago – which might as well be on the moon, or Mars or Pluto. I don’t know about you, but I miss Pluto as our ninth planet.
“But I digress: as I was saying, even though the TV station is off the air, ‘Pulse’ is back on the air via the General’s shortwave set. That’s right; we’re on radio now. Now for those who never got us on the idiot box and don’t get us on the radio, the transcript of the show can still be read at The Post & Email, a political blog on the Internet. And, yes, Molly, our overworked and underpaid secretary, still transcribes the show, so any typos we can blame on her.
“Now that the introduction is out of the way, let’s talk about the nuts running loose everywhere, and not just in the cities and towns where there’s buildings burning, looting and people being injured – some grievously — outright murdered, or killed in self-defense.
“Here’s the flaw, the Achilles Heel, in the Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, and the Democrats’ thought process: they are actively advocating limiting their own choices on how to act, what to say and, yes, even to the point of how to think, although the how-to-think part could be stretching it.
“Let me explain: they are proclaiming the end of the Constitution, starting with the first ten amendments, especially the first two: freedom of speech, religion, the right to assemble and the right to bear arms. They are supporting the end to what they are doing (speaking and assembling), which seems self-defeating, which, when you think about it, is exactly what they are doing. Guess what? That makes them hypocrites, doesn’t it? It makes the whole idea of BLM, ANTIFA and the Democratic Party nothing but a bunch of hypocrites blowing a bunch of hot air, meaningless actions that advance no cause, no justice, no endearing thoughts: only promoting their own self-destruction.
“Think about it: if they got their way, they wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance to even think about getting their way if they ever got their way in the first place. So why do it? I’ll tell you why.
“They are working against the United States, is what. Are they active foreign agents? Probably not, but they might as well be. Are they being used? No doubt, and even paid, like rioting is a job. ‘For hire: rioters. Please list previous riots, buildings set afire, merchandise stolen.’
“But it’s not funny, not in the least. Let’s start with some TV personalities, such as Joe Scarborough and Chris Cuomo, two who fan the flames of ignorance. If what they’re pushing comes to pass, they’ll be the first ones out of a job. You see, it’s simple: Socialism needs workers, not idiots. If you don’t produce, you don’t eat, and being a mouthpiece for the other side will only get you to the head of the line for the showers when they take over. No one wants functional idiots, the easily duped, the gullible, the speak-without-thinking dolts in our population, and you’ve got to be one to prostitute yourself for all to see. Imagine being so far gone as to believe your own lies? They sure seem to, don’t they?
“And that’s what we’re here to talk about: the End Game. You see, if BLM, ANTIFA and the Democrats get their way, the Constitution falls by the wayside; sinks without leaving a trace. No George Washington monuments; no monuments at all because they erased the past: the ship has sunk without leaving a trace.
“Is it sad? Think about all the sacrifices people have made for the past couple of thousand years to get our Constitution, only to have it burned to the ground by useful idiots who riot in the name of destruction only to have nothing to fill the vacuum except despotism and misery.
“It’s a self-defeating prophecy, a flaw overlooked, a political philosophy with no future, no libraries with contrary thoughts, a world of grey where future Kafkas and Van Goghs are censored or just plain squashed as a bug, or a battleship sunk: no difference because the results are the same: nothing left except our memories and when we’re gone, so too the memories: Goodnight.
