CAN THE PAST BE ERASED? SHOULD IT BE?

(Jun. 4, 2020) — Once upon a time the Vikings roamed the North Woods, and then came Columbus. Problem is, the Vikings didn’t advertise lots for sale in swampy Florida, but Columbus did.
And then came the Revolutionary War, but that was so long ago that no one remembers.
Somewhere back then there was the Civil War, but we’ll ignore that one. We’ll tear down any and all statues of anything remotely associated with State’s Rights and other stuff, like ancestors and tombstones.
Better yet, let’s erase everything. Let’s burn the books, too: goodbye, Mark Twain, Arthur Haley, Ayn Rand and anything to do with Gettysburg, Shiloh, Antietam and President Lincoln, let alone John Wilkes Booth and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
There will be no mention of giving the Indians smallpox-infested blankets.
Really, now, HOW DUMB IS THE GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA, RALPH NORTHAM, ANYWAY?
Well, I’ll tell you. Northam is going to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee in Richmond, a prime example of the dumb following the even dumber.
Goodbye, First Amendment (ALL lives matter).
