P&E News: Comments Feature Upgraded

by Sharon Rondeau

(May 1, 2020) — The Post & Email recently upgraded its Comments section to include a feature allowing users to edit their submitted comments for up to five minutes.

Funds from our fundraiser last December were utilized for the upgrade after we weighed a number of potential site improvements.  A reader who utilized the new feature said he found it helpful.

We remind all commenters not to leave personal information such as phone number and email address.  If you need to reach us with a news item or your contact information, please send an email to editor@thepostemail.com directly or by utilizing our contact form.

Over the last week, several readers encountered a “403 Forbidden” message when attempting to open articles from our “Editorial” category.  We have not received any reports of the error appearing elsewhere.

Our website technician examined the problem and advised refreshing the page if it occurs, with the indication that the problem should resolve quickly.  We recommend using the Firefox browser for best results in general.

Should the challenge persist or prevent access, please advise at editor@thepostemail.com.  As always, we thank our readers for their support of our efforts to provide a new model in online media.

I’m wondering: if we run out of time in the midst of editing, will it save the edits that we have made up to that point?

Excellent new feature! Now I can fix the typos I never seem to see until I’ve posted the comment.
