(Apr. 11, 2020) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. Well, the nurse – Secret Nurse — from one of the companies that overcharges their clients and underpays their employees once again contacted us with some rather disturbing facts about the depth of the corruption of the elderly in Minnesota; we have her via Skype. Hello, there; we have disguised your voice and we have a picture of a retirement home on the screen and not necessarily the one you work in.”

“Thank you, Roving, I knew I could count on you. Look, before I just had my suspicions but the incompetence, the unprofessionalism, and the cavalier attitude law enforcement* treats theft of the elderly is beyond belief, and to think these morons took an Oath to the Constitution shows that, even though they may know how to read, their comprehension levels are pretty doggone low.”

“That bad?”

“It’s like a clan, or more like a coven.”

“A coven, the whole state?”

“Kind-of, where they don’t like strangers, the United States and her Constitution.  And most, if not all, in law enforcement never served in the armed forces and never participated in combat.”

“I’ve an idea; give us a few moments while I contact Madam Shylock. We’ll be right back while we break for a commercial.”

Strange Brew” (2:46)

“We’re back with Madam Shylock and I told her what you just said, you know, about the people of Minnesota stealing from the old and the afflicted.”

“Hello, Madam Shylock. Yes, I’m afraid that the theft is quite widespread so I would recommend that all bank accounts be in the hands of competent lawyers; you agree?”

“Most definitely. It has been quite apparent that the Power of Attorney (POA) has become a license to steal, which is why it’s so important to have a lawyer – as opposed to a ‘friend’ or relative – handle any expenses, which is, basically, just rent and maybe a little cash for incidentals.”

“But what surprised me is how deep banks are into facilitating theft; I mean, they make it so easy.”

“Good point.”

“Can I say one more thing about law enforcement, Roving?”

“For sure; go ahead.”

“Well, I was talking about how they’re all in on it, the police. Some steal the money outright by accepting a cash payment to ‘look the other way during any investigation of elderly theft; some ‘gifts’ end up on the Internet or taken home; and some so-called law enforcement officers accept kickbacks in the form of favors, as in I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine.’”

“Can you give us an example?”

“Promotions, time off, maybe drive-their-kid-to-the-dentist type of thing, with pay. It’s like the police delivering subpoenas on company time instead of after-hours: they get their police pay AND a separate check from the court. It’s called ‘double-dipping,’ which is doublespeak for stealing, and they get away with it because they’re wearing a uniform that comes with a gun; the heck with us civilians.”

“But don’t they know that they’re taxpayers, too?”

Hello, Roving: county employees; city ‘workers’; where you been? And you can bet not one of them has ever served in the military, or a percentage so infinitesimal as not to be statistically significant by any known margin to mankind.”

“Madam Shylock, do you have any more to add?”

“Yes, I do Roving. The sad part of it all is that the people who are breaking one of the Ten Commandments are doing to themselves what they are doing to others. The cop who refuses to investigate blatant theft is allowing thieves to get away with it. It’s a billion-dollar business where everyone but the innocent and honest profit. But it’s not just Minnesota that is at fault; it’s everywhere.”

“I don’t think that’s news, Madam Shylock. I’m sorry, but we’ve run out of time and so, on behalf of our Secret Nurse and Madam Shylock, this is your Roving Reporter (RR) wishing you all a goodnight: Goodnight.

“Thanks for being on the show, Secret Nurse and Madam Shylock. As for me, it’s burger time: my treat.”

[*law enforcement: I’ll give that 10% the government employees are hardworking, dedicated and honest; the rest not so much.]

Wasted Days & Wasted Nights” (2:40)
