“BUT IT’S TOUGHER WHEN YOU’RE STUPID”

Rep. Adam Schiff, from website

(Apr. 1, 2020) — Well, whadda ya know?  That stellar intellect of the House Intelligence [sic] Committee, Representative Adam Schiff, has announced that, at the appropriate time, he will task the committee with investigating President Trump’s response to the Wuhan COVID-19 virus.  Schiff recently “tweeted” that “we need a nonpartisan commission to review our response and how we can better prepare for the next pandemic.  I’m working on a bill to do that.”

Really?

Ummm… memo to Schiff: you dolt, did you even read the bill, either before you voted on it or after it was enacted?  Apparently not.  Did you read it before composing your tweet?  Obviously not.  Did you ask any of your crack (and by that term I am referring to skillsets, not controlled substances…) aides and assistants advise you on the contents of the law before your tweet?  Again, clearly not.   Because if you had done any of those things, you would have realized – maybe – that the legislation, now having evolved into Public Law 116-136 after signing by President Trump – already provides for the creation of the “Pandemic Response Accountability Committee.”  See Pub.L. 116-136, pp. 253-260.

That committee is established within the federal “Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency” and is populated by members of the various Inspectors General of the myriad federal agencies where they exist.  The committee is empowered to, among other things, investigate and report on “the Federal Government’s response to the nationwide public health emergency declared by the Secretary of Health and Human Services” relating to the Wuhan COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.  Mercifully, no members of Congress are included on the committee.

Memo No. 2 to Schiff: while you and your aides, assistants, cronies and media flaks are working on “a bill” to create a “commission” to investigate how President Trump has handled the response to this pestilence, you might want to bone up on the provisions of the law you have already participated in.  Knowing that your attention span is measured in nanoseconds, and for your convenience, here it is again: https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/hr748/BILLS-116hr748enr.pdf.

John Wayne was right: “Life is tough, but it’s tougher when you’re stupid.”

Jim Delaney,
Excellent post. Thoughtful and well written comment on what may be the only workable solution for our sharply divided nation and her future…………

VENTING TIME. Problem is that Schiff and his vile ilk aren’t stupid. They are wily, craven, unprincipled, dishonorable, self-promoting racketeers. Me-first, Party-first and the Republic and the People dead last. Bereft of conscience and genuine spiritual foundations, they lead empty, meaningless, dead end lives, and are too self-absorbed to see it. But it is those who continue to elect these scoundrels and charlatans who are hopelessly STUPID and, thus, even more destructive and offensive than these monsters they elect. Well past time for a remedy. If, to the detriment of the country, Schiff and Pelosi inflict this wholly self-serving political stunt on Americans, there should be a million+ person march on Congress to demand their resignations and a return to law and order. Like sinister authoritarians everywhere, only a show of force has any effect on them. Reason honest dialogue are lost arts on the depraved Left. And, sadly, there are precious few exceptions. But a well-deserved and much-needed Operation Pitchfork, a massive march on Congress, won’t happen either. Why? Too many sunshine patriots who would be inconvenienced getting off their dead a****. They are willing to tolerate the intolerable. And as Plato admonished, “Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society.” And then there’s G.K. Chesterton who warned that “Tolerance is the virtue of the man without conviction.” So, what’s left? Any of all the remedies clearly condoned by our Founding Fathers–and, yes, secession, or a formal division of this union along ideological lines. Let’s face it: this “indivisible union” no longer advances the legitimate interests of We the People or of the currently vassalized “sovereign States”. The Founders would be appalled, but, wise men that they were, they would not be surprised what the corruptibility of Man is capable of. Time to remedy this tyranny once and for all. And it CAN and SHOULD be peacefully created. No need for a civil war–UNLESS the myopic freaks on the Left provoke such a clash. And like the unruly, narcissistic adolescents they have proven to be, they just might be foolish enough to do just that. Let’s stop tip-toeing around the truth, that being the horrible state of this long-gone federal constitutional republic. And let’s fix it! While we can’t change the millions of warped minds on the Left, we can change and/or create new enforceable boundaries within which each ideological strain of Americans may peacefully live. Yes, I’m justifiably angry, fed up with the perfidy and subversion on the Left, but also in too many quarters on the Right as well. I will continue to do what little I can to advance this long overdue division. Unity at ANY price is suicidal. And right now I’d say we are toying with national suicide and avoidable tumult.
