(Apr. 28, 2019) — At approximately 9:00 a.m. EDT, President Donald Trump tweeted that he will be interviewing with Maria Bartiromo of “Sunday Morning Futures” this morning at 10:00 a.m. on the Fox News Channel.

In a single tweet, Trump wrote, “Will be interviewed by on at 10:00 AM. Talking about the Southern Border and how the Dems MUST act fast to change our pathetic immigration laws. Will be tough, watch!”

In a promo on “Fox & Friends” Sunday morning, the co-anchors announced that instead of hosting her show from New York as she does customarily, Bartiromo will be on location in the border town of El Paso, TX.

She last interviewed Trump on March 22.

Trump campaigned on strengthening America’s borders and in January, following Congress’s failure to provide $5.7 billion for a border wall, authorized through executive order the release of funds to repair or add to existing border barriers.  He continues to urge Congress to modify existing law to end the practice of “catch and release” and the Flores court settlement which prevents children from being detained for more than 20 days.

Shortly after Trump’s tweet appeared, Bartiromo tweeted a preview of her upcoming broadcast.
