(Jan. 11, 2019) — Ah, the richness…, the irony…, the hypocrisy.  All on simultaneous and spectacular display.  To paraphrase Neil Armstrong when he and Buzz Aldrin first landed on the moon in 1969, informing NASA in Houston: “Tranquility Base, the Eagle has landed,” it may be said of CNN cub reporter Jim Acosta’s observation that the place where he was standing in McAllen, Texas “seems pretty tranquil”: “Tranquility Base: the dodo has landed.”

The dodo, of course, is an extinct, flightless bird frequently used in literature as symbolic of dull-witted or obsolete concepts… or persons.  Just sayin’….

Out of sheer hubris and stupidity, the CNN dodo – also known on the D.C. cocktail circuit as Jim Acosta – has given not only President Trump proof positive that “walls work,” he has underscored just how blind and clueless those are who oppose the building of a “wall” or “barrier” on the southern border of the nation.  Memo to Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats and anyone else who will take the time to watch Acosta stomp on a rake and not even realize from behind his sunglasses he was doing it: the reason the area next to him in McAllen, Texas was, in fact – not merely in appearance – “pretty tranquil,” was because of the barrier.

One can hardly wait for the next sparring match between Acosta and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.  Boom.

Sharon Rondeau has operated The Post & Email since April 2010, focusing on the Obama birth certificate investigation and other government corruption news.  She has reported prolifically on constitutional violations within Tennessee’s prison and judicial systems.

STUPID can not be fixed. Whos was it that said “better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt”?
