“WE’LL BE VOTING THIS WEEK”

(Oct. 1, 2018) — At 3:50 p.m., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was speaking on the Senate floor regarding the developments in President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Last Thursday, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford gave public testimony in which she claimed that Kavanaugh assaulted her at a house party during the summer of 1982. Many found her statements compelling, although others identified inconsistencies, including a special sex-crimes prosecutor hired by Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to question her in their stead.
“The time for delay and obstruction has come to a close,” McConnell said, then addressed himself to Trump by saying, “And Mr. President, we’ll be voting this week.”
Following a request from the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday, Trump directed the FBI to conduct a “supplemental” background investigation into Kavanaugh to discover whether or not any evidence exists to support Ford’s claim.
Despite that, McConnell tweeted Friday evening that all 51 Republicans voted to advance Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Senate floor.
Some sources have reported that the FBI could finish its work by Tuesday, clearing the path for McConnell to perhaps schedule a final Senate vote this week.
On Thursday Ford said she was “100%” certain that Kavanaugh was her attacker, but in an impassioned address hours later to the committee, Kavanaugh denied the claims and those of other women who made them after Ford’s letter to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein in late July became public.
Some have asked why Ford appears to have scrubbed all of her social media pages while claiming that she never expected to be identified publicly as Kavanaugh’s accuser.
During last week’s hearing, Ford appeared surprised when Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley reiterated that he had offered to send staff investigators to her in California to spare her a trip to the East Coast. However, Ford’s attorneys, known to be Democrat activists, said in documentation to the committee that Ford wished to express her “appreciation” for the committee’s efforts to accommodate her testimony.
In his comments, McConnell said that “the Democrats” want to delay a confirmation vote “until after the elections.”
At 4:10 p.m., Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) spoke, acknowledging that both Ford and Kavanaugh had a right to be heard.

Your remarks lit a fuse in my modest mind and that is that the Republicans have some
milk toast members. Many of them have jello spines. Some of them you can’t tell if
they are friend or foe. It seems as if many are fakes and phonies. They knew Obama
was a fraud and some have stated so, and further stated, “we can’t do anything about it”,
or have stated such things as “it is water under the bridge (ex. Rep. Glenn Thompson).
Some day there maybe lots of egg on lots of faces…

You are right, The panicked attempts to prevent Kavanaugh from being seated on the Supreme Court are IMO more because the Deep State fears a ruling by a Conservative Supreme Court on natural born citizen would spell huge trouble for Barry, and all complicit in The Obama Fraud, than it is keeping abortion legal…or anything else. Jeff Flake, in an interview on 60 Minutes, just gave a list of reasons why he is a, “never Trump” RINO. One of the reasons, which Flake said was by itself enough to disqualify Trump was, according to Flake, “Trump said, “Obama was not a citizen”. As usual he stated citizen as the eligibility requirement for president and not natural born citizen; something constantly repeated in the efforts to eliminate the requirement for natural born citizen as intended by the Framers of the Constitution. The empirical evidence provided by Obama’s fake presidency make it so very clear the Framers got it right when they required born on American soil of American citizen parent(s) as the requirement for the president and, even more importantly, commander- in- chief of America’s military when they required natural born citizen and provided the grandfather clause to allow time for just citizen……..until there were candidates who met the natural born citizen requirement.
As I have said so many times before…the basic reason for the panic over Trump being elected, and the planned after Obama cover of Hillary losing, is to get Trump out of office before the truth about The Obama Fraud is fully revealed and acted on. If that does not happen, I don’t believe the Deep State can be defeated…..slowed maybe, but not defeated in a way that will reset the Constitution and clear the way to truly MAGA…….
Kavanaugh is a huge threat and therefore there had to be an attempt to take him out. Fair play by the rules and decencies be damned, thus by any means possible (hook and/or crook), he had to be taken out. He is too much of a threat to the Dems on most issues.
Looks as if the Dems failed. Should Obama’s USURPER case reach the Supreme Court, Kavanaugh’s ruling would be a key factor in exposing Obama. This and other Constitutional matters is why I think the Dems in this case kept moving the “goal posts.”
