FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS DONATED ANNUALLY TO SUPPORT VINCENT VIZZO COLUMBUS DAY CONCERNS

(Sep. 24, 2018) — Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim and City of Bridgeport continue to support the tradition of celebrating Italian-American heritage by making a $5,000 sponsorship contribution for the Columbus Day weekend festivities and the Vincent Vizzo Columbus Day Concerts. The donation will be used to fund The Klein Memorial Auditorium to host two free public concerts featuring the Quantico Marine Corps Band on Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th. Both shows start at 6:45 p.m. with doors to the Klein opening at 5:30 p.m. For the past fifteen years, the City has donated funds to make the concerts possible. Free tickets can be picked up at Lupe’s Drug Store or Port 5 National Association of Naval Veterans.
