“Bruce Ohr CONFIRMED in his interview today: after the FBI terminated their relationship with Chris Steele for leaking to the media, the FBI privately reengaged with him and continued receiving his info. This was after suggesting to the American public they had cut Steele off,” Meadows tweeted.
On his 9:00 p.m. ET show, host Sean Hannity commented about the steady stream of revelations that he said demonstrated that the FBI under Barack Hussein Obama was “corrupt.”
Ohr has been identified as a conduit to the FBI of Steele’s unverified information assembled into a “dossier” about Donald Trump from alleged Russian sources. The allegations in the 35-page document remain unconfirmed and appear to have been circulated among the intelligence community and to the media with the intent of affecting the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.
Despite mounting evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the FBI, the DOJ in regard to the dossier and its connections to Russia, Special Counsel Robert Mueller continues to probe whether or not anyone in the Trump campaign “colluded” with the Kremlin to tip the election in Trump’s favor.
The dossier was funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and Fusion GPS through the law firm Perkins Coie. Documents released as a result of a FOIA lawsuit filed by the government-watchdog organization Judicial Watch show that Steele received at least 11 payments from the FBI prior to the 2016 election, with the amounts of the payments and dates redacted.
