STRATEGIST WAS REPORTEDLY WARNED BY MUELLER INVESTIGATORS, “WE’LL BE WATCHING YOU ON TV”

(May 9, 2018) — On Wednesday night, former New York State Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo appeared on Fox News’s “Hannity,” as he did last week, to discuss his reluctant role in the “Russia” investigation led by former FBI Director and now-Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller, III.
The segment also featured Fox News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett, who has an upcoming book, “The Russia Hoax,” alleging that exonerated Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing on a number of fronts and that a coup of sorts was launched to implicate Donald Trump in a “collusion” plot with the Kremlin.
Trump has vehemently denied the allegations, and thus far, Mueller’s investigation has revealed no evidence of collusion. Many times on Hannity’s show, Jarrett has said that “collusion” in and of itself is “not a crime.”
Hannity repeated the fact that Caputo “had to sell his home” in order to pay his legal fees as a result of having been called to testify on multiple occasions to Mueller’s investigators. Caputo has not been accused of wrongdoing.
Mueller was brought on last May, one day after he interviewed for the position of FBI director in the wake of James Comey’s firing. Trump did not select Mueller to reassume his former role, but Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein hired him as Special Counsel for the Russia investigation since Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from all Russia-related matters.
In an initial interview with Fox’s Tucker Carlson approximately two weeks ago, Caputo was close-lipped and said that Mueller’s investigators had warned him after his testimony that they “will be watching him on TV” in regard to what he might say about his closed-door interviews.
In addition to Hannity and Carlson, Caputo has spoken on-air with CNN and Fox’s Bill Hemmer.
Last week and again this evening, Caputo was less restrained while stating that he is certain that Mueller’s team has been watching his television interviews. On Wednesday Caputo went as far as to say that in regard to any public statements he has made about the investigation, “I’m not very scared about it any more.”
In a lengthier segment on May 4, Caputo made it known that he was in need of a total of approximately $300,000 to cover legal fees arising from his depositions to the Special Counsel’s team. As The Post & Email reported, in a matter of less than 45 minutes beginning with his appearance that evening, Caputo’s GoFundMe account increased from $148,740 to $199,172.
The following morning, the fund showed $256,194. As of 9:55 p.m. EDT on Wednesday night, the fund had $295,628, increasing to $296,085 a minute later.
Over the last few days, Fox has been reported that Americans are “tiring” of Mueller’s probe since no evidence of “collusion” between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin has been made public. Some consider Mueller to be deeply conflicted as a result of his previous working relationship with Comey. Last May 9, Rosenstein recommended that Comey be fired but then brought in Mueller to investigate, among other things, whether or not Trump obstructed justice in firing Comey.
Rosenstein, too, was well-acquainted with Comey before recommending that he be terminated for his handling of the Clinton private email server investigation in 2016.
Jarrett has said that Rosenstein, Mueller, Comey and others are facing “legal jeopardy.”

How ironic that it is eyes are currently on Mueller and the others.
