“THE AROMA OF ROACH POISON”

The “of late,” of course, is used to differentiate his prior antics on a wide spectrum of loser tantrums from the one he is now throwing over the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to become the next member of the U.S. Supreme Court. Honestly, there is no rational explanation for Schumer’s threat to filibuster the nomination of Judge Gorsuch – whose impeccable credentials have been ratified by the American Bar Association, no friend of conservatives – other than adolescent rage over being a loser.
Then again, the use of the term “rational” in close proximity to the word “Schumer” is a bit of a stretch these days. My bad. Mea culpa. Memo to Schumer: as your erstwhile usurper noted, “Elections have consequences.” Grow up. Man up. Or, if you prefer, person up.
As backdrop, Schumer’s father ran a pest exterminating company and Schumer is quoted as saying that he and his family “always associated the smell of roach spray with love.” The aroma of roach poison now permeates the Senate as Schumer spreads his version of “love” throughout the chamber, urging members to express their “love” for Judge Gorsuch by exterminating his nomination via the filibuster.
Never in the history of the Nation has one party sought to defeat the confirmation of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice by way of a filibuster… until now. Apparently Schumer is intent on “out-Reiding” his brother-in-arms, now-retired (mercifully) Harry Reid.
Disgraceful. Juvenile. And stupid.
As the Majority leader of the Senate, Senator Mitch McConnell – the only adult in power – has noted, it is up to Schumer and his Democratic apparatchiks in the Senate to determine whether Judge Gorsuch will be (a) confirmed with 60 or more votes without a filibuster or after cloture is invoked, or (b) confirmed with only 51 votes after the kindergartners in the room trigger the “nuclear option.” Senator McConnell adds that people should make no mistake: Judge Gorsuch will be confirmed, one way or the other.
The only thing proven by this spectacle is that the Democrats have – once again – proven that they have forfeited any claim of right (or even aptitude) to govern a free people. They should be ashamed of themselves, but instead, aided and abetted by an equally malevolent mainstream media, they vow to “resist.” Sad. And after Judge Gorsuch takes his seat, watch for additional future Trump nominations when (not if) Justices Ginsberg and Souter decide they have had enough fun. Let us see how Mr. Schumer (or whoever his lucky successor might be after the Blue State apparatchiks boot him from his “leadership” position) explains to Democrats that, because of his fury regarding the Gorsuch confirmation, the replacements for Ginsberg and Souter will take only 51 votes. Nice.
The Democrats are about to learn “up close and personal” the perils of nuclear warfare.
