New Attorney General: Administration to Designate Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization

“THEIR TIME IS UP”

(Feb. 10, 2017) — On Friday afternoon, the new U.S Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, tweeted that the Trump administration will “very soon” be declaring The Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, something the Obama regime declined to do.

“This should have happened long ago,” Sessions wrote in his tweet.  “Their time is up.”

While it has long been known that the organization’s purpose, as stated in its “strategic plan,” is to “destroy Western civilization from within,” the Obama regime employed a number of individuals with traceable ties to The Muslim Brotherhood and related organizations and hosted a number of Islamic figures with questionable ties at the White House.

Page 7 of the strategic plan states:

“The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”

On the occasion of its 50th annual convention in 2013, Obama greeted in Arabic the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which the strategic plan listed as a “front group” for The Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama praised ISNA’s members as being “devoted parents, good neighbors and active citizens who help build stronger families, supporting our youth and aiding the less fortunate.”

He said that “everyone deserves a chance to make their [sic] mark on the American story no matter who you are or where you come from or how you pray.”

Obama did not praise Christians, Jews or other religious groups similarly during his eight-year occupation of the White House despite his claim to be a “devout Christian.”

Obama was not only particularly friendly to Muslims, but also to illegal aliens through his creation, by “executive action,” of the DACA program, which allowed young illegals brought to the country when they were children to avoid deportation under certain conditions.

On November 20, 2014, Obama announced his intention to create “DAPA,” which would have extended legal status to relatives of DACA recipients within certain parameters.

DAPA was not upheld by the federal courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to overturn a lower court’s decision after the government appealed it.

The Obama years saw a marked increase in the number of “refugees” brought in to the United States from Muslim-majority nations who the FBI said could not be fully vetted for terrorist intent.

Within the last few days, left-leaning media have weighed in on the possibility of the Trump administration changing course with regard to The Muslim Brotherhood.  As reposted from The Washington Post, Stars and Stripes published an editorial which stated, in part:

The specter of the Muslim Brotherhood has animated a section of the American right for years. They see it as a dangerous jihadist front that inspired Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist party that is already on the State Department’s list of designated terror groups. Once-fringe figures like White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon have peddled conspiracy theories – and terrible movie scripts – about Muslim Brotherhood agents in America working toward an Islamic takeover of the Republic.

Now Bannon and other hardline ideologues like Frank Gaffney have the ear of the White House and are keen on bringing their agenda to bear. But the plan to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization generates a host of problems…

A February 7, 2017 New York Times article reported:

A political and social organization with millions of followers, the Brotherhood officially renounced violence decades ago and won elections in Egypt after the fall of President Hosni Mubarak in 2011. Affiliated groups have joined the political systems in places like Tunisia and Turkey, and President Barack Obama long resisted pressure to declare it a terrorist organization.

But the Brotherhood calls for a society governed by Islamic law, and some of its former members and offshoots — most notably Hamas, the Palestinian group whose stated goal is the destruction of Israel — have been tied to attacks. Some advisers to Mr. Trump have viewed the Brotherhood for years as a radical faction secretly infiltrating the United States to promote Shariah law. They see the order as an opportunity to finally take action against it.

The Times also mentioned Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy and Stephen K. Bannon, a former Breitbart writer and executive who is now a Trump adviser.

The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have designated The Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

Former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, who was ousted from power in July 2013 after just a year in office, was a member of The Muslim Brotherhood.  His candidacy was supported by Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
