SUBJECT:  MEDIA’S FALSE REPORTING

by Sharon Rondeau

(Jan. 21, 2017) —  At 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer walked to the podium in the briefing room and immediately began excoriating the media, citing “inaccurate numbers” of attendees and a “false” story tweeted by a reporter stating that the bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. had been moved by President Donald Trump.

Earlier on Saturday, this writer saw an Associated Press report by Julie Pace which said that “numbers” were smaller than at previous inaugurations.

Spicer also said that the media positioned itself in such a way as to block some viewers’ access to the inauguration ceremonies and misrepresented the number of attendees.

Clearly agitated, Spicer excoriated the press for not covering the fact that Trump’s CIA Director nominee, Rep. Mike Pompeo, has not been swiftly confirmed.  “That’s what you should be writing about,” Spicer said.

He added that Trump will be meeting with British Prime Minister Teresa May on Thursday or Friday of this week.

Spicer abruptly ended his remarks at 5:44 p.m.

Well, well. Finally an administration is prepared to take on our corrupt media. The media that has been lying to us all for many years. I agree with the plan, confront, point out, and speak the truth.
