35 KILLED, 40 INJURED

(Dec. 31, 2016) — Fox News and other sources are reporting that at least 35 people have been killed and dozens more injured in a New Year’s Eve attack at a nightclub in Istanbul, Turkey which has been attributed to “terror.”

At the time of this report, 8:24 p.m. EST, it is New Year’s Day in that part of the world.

AFP reported that two “gunmen” in Santa Claus outfits “stormed an elite nightclub where partygoers were celebrating the New Year.”

The nightclub is located in what is known as Istanbul’s “European side” near the Strait of Bosphorus (Bosporus).

There were reportedly as many as 700 people in the nightclub at the time of the attack.

Turkey has experienced a number of terrorist attacks beginning in mid-2015 to include car and pipe bombs and suicide bombers which have killed and injured people, including an infant.
