IN ATTEMPT TO PRESENT “BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY”

by Sharon Rondeau

(Dec. 30, 2016) — On Friday morning at 11:18 AM EST, The Post & Email sent the following message to Tennessee Department of Correction Communications Director Neysa Taylor:

DOCUMENTATION – MEDICAL CONCERNS/ALLEGED DEFICIENCIES/GANGS

Hello, Ms. Taylor, in the past you have requested documentation as to the allegations of lack of medical care, prescription dispensing, gang activity, etc. in Tennessee prisons.

Earlier this week I received two letters from inmates about medical needs which I published in the following articles containing the names and TDOC numbers of those making the allegations:

“SIMILAR TO BEING IN THE ‘HOLE'” by Raymond Wright, TDOC #216628 (Dec. 30, 2016) —

OF “CRIME” AND “PUNISHMENT” by Sharon Rondeau (Dec. 28, 2016) — The Post & Email has received a letter from an inmate at the Trousdale Turner Correctional

A third letter directed to the governor and various TDOC personnel with allegations of uncontrolled gang violence at TTCC was published here:

CLAIMS CORRECTION OFFICERS “AFRAID OF THE GANG MEMBERS” by Sharon Rondeau (Dec. 28, 2016) — The following copy of a letter directed to Tennessee Gov. Bill

I ask that the Department investigate these claims and provide a response in the interest of presenting both sides of the story.

Best wishes for a happy new year.
