“STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT”

(Aug. 24, 2016) — Many of you know me from my work with People Against the NDAA (PANDA) and the Solutions Institute. Over the past few months, I have been proud to work with an astounding team at the Tax Revolution Institute, and we have launched our first major initiative: We’re auditing the IRS.
The agency has been notorious in resisting requests for information, and Congress has done little to bring the obstructionists to justice. Many Americans fear the IRS and don’t talk about their experiences, because they don’t see any hope for change. The IRS deserves an independent audit, and that’s just what we are doing.
We have an initial list of over 30 areas of the IRS we’re going to shed light on, including:
- The IRS’s treatment of individual taxpayers and small businesses
- The IRS’s expectations of its employees
- The IRS’s work culture
- The IRS’s handling of taxpayer dollars
- Advice given to taxpayers
- IRS policy and enforcement … and more
So here’s what you can do to help rein in one of America’s least transparent government agencies.

- Support the Audit
Research is expensive, and so is fighting the IRS in court. Luckily, we are funded primarily by victims of the IRS, so they understand the importance of this fight. But we need your support to make this a reality. The more money we can spend on researchers and finding people who had their rights violated, the quicker we can get to work fixing this broken agency.
- Spread the word
One story can change a life. Three stories can start a conversation. A thousand stories can change the nation. The more of the American people we hear from, the quicker we can work to fix the IRS. Spread the word to your friends, family, the alternative media, and your organizations. Now that the IRS has been cowed by congressional hearing after congressional hearing, this is the time to act and put serious reforms in place that will make the IRS the servant of the American people.
