“A COMPLETE AND TOTAL CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE”

by Michael Gaddy, ©2016, blogging at The Rebel Madman

(Jul. 4, 2016) — *Author’s warning: If you came to this article hoping to find some feel-good, stars and stripes forever, hero worshipping, reality avoiding diatribe, just move along—there is nothing to see here. But, if you realize our government is openly oppressive and tyrannical and can only implement their unconstitutional policies with willing dupes in their employ and the useful idiots who support them, then—hold on—this is or could be your cup of tea or perhaps a moment of lucid thought in a sea of emotions.

July 4, 2016, is here. 240 years ago on this date, some very brave men, tired of the tyranny of King George III and thirsting for the sweet taste of Liberty, placed their names on a document which history refers to as The Declaration of Independence. On this 4th of July, many will gather throughout this country and instead of embracing the courage and commitment of those brave souls who pledged their “lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor” to the cause of Liberty will instead honor and glorify the very people our founders warned would destroy all they fought to gain for themselves and their posterity.

“In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive, will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans, it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.”James Madison (Emphasis added)

On this 4th of July, a very large proportion of the people of this country will embrace and honor, not the memory of our founders or those who throughout our history have been willing to stand in the breech for liberty and freedom, but will instead embrace and honor those whom our founders feared most: members of a standing army.

Several channels on TV will have one war movie after another and Major League Baseball will play a game on a military installation, combining two of our favorite pastimes—baseball and hero worship. Another channel has a line-up of TV shows titled “Stars, Stripes and Badges.”

Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, there will be many who will proclaim allegiance to those who are allegedly “protecting our freedoms” and other various uniformed badge-toters whom Patrick Henry referred to as “federal and state sheriffs” and correctly predicted would “eat out our sustenance.”

We will be told repeatedly over the next few hours that those in the uniform of our country are “fighting for our freedoms.” If this were even remotely true then those in uniform should be immediately fired for failing miserably to do their jobs. In my lifetime, and especially over the past 15 years, we here in America have lost our individual rights as listed in our Bill of Rights at an ever increasing and alarming rate. If our military is fighting for our rights they have been a miserable failure and if they fight for them much longer our rights will be completely gone.

WAKE-UP, People!!! Take off the blinders and rose-colored glasses. Our government is a complete and total criminal enterprise run by an un-elected power cabal of bankers and criminals. The U.S. military is the enforcement arm of that criminal enterprise. So are members of federal law enforcement and through government grants the central government has gained control of almost all state and local branches of law enforcement.

Think about it!!! The only reason the central government is able to enforce its totalitarian edicts and unconstitutional laws is because they have the armed might of the military and law enforcement throughout the country to implement their edicts and protect them from the fallout of such oppression. Why has Hillary and Bill been able to get away with 40 plus years of criminal acts? Why are they wealthy beyond most folks imagination? Why have we sent our military to participate in acts of aggression all around the globe while creating enemies that cannot wait to cross our unprotected borders and kill us all? Why does our government now want us to welcome these people into our midst and support them with our money?

Would the president, members of Congress and the supreme court even consider floating the proposition of disarming the people without the comfort of a standing army of military and law enforcement personnel at the ready to impose their wishes? Do you believe 535 people: 435 members of Congress, nine clowns in black gowns and one president would remotely consider disarming the people if they had to go door-to-door themselves to enforce their tyranny? This criminal government continues with its oppression and totalitarian agenda simply because they have a standing army at their beck and call. Yes, the very same people most of you will spend the 4th of July honoring, blessing and fawning over.

Millions worry what will be the outcome of our next presidential election. Why should we fear one person? Without a standing army of willing shills and sycophants, Hillary or anyone else is basically impotent—as they should be. Thomas Jefferson warned us often of what we face today—July 4th should be a day to honor the wisdom of Jefferson and his magnum opus, the Declaration of Independence, not the people who are standing by waiting for orders to oppress the people at the whim of a politician.

In a letter to David Humphreys on 18 March 1789, Jefferson addressed the subject of this Rant.

“There are instruments so dangerous to the rights of the nation, and which place them so totally at the mercy of their governors, that those governors, whether legislative or executive, should be restrained from keeping such instruments on foot but in well defined cases. Such an instrument is a standing army.”

There you have it; Jefferson knew from his study of history and human nature that men would attempt to oppress others but without the power of coercion and force they would be powerless to do so. That is why in most discussions about the people’s right to keep and bear arms among our founders, the primary reason for maintaining that right was to oppose a tyrannical government.

In the aforementioned letter to David Humphreys, Jefferson stated a standing army places the people totally at the mercy of those who govern. If you stand totally at the mercy of any person you are not free—you are a slave.

Most Americans who worship and honor “the troops” will tell you also of their love for this country’s independence, our Bill of Rights and our founders. In doing so they fully illustrate the completed transition from ignorant to stupid. Those among our founders who fought so valiantly for a Bill of Rights were known as the anti-Federalists. No one person or group of people understood the dangers inherent in a standing army of military and federal and state sheriffs than did these men.

An anti-Federalist who wrote as “Centinel” referred to a standing army as “that grand engine of oppression.” The ant-Federalist who wrote as the “Federal Farmer” stated in his 13th letter “…we all agree that a large standing army has a strong tendency to depress and enslave the people.” The “Old Whig” wrote “The unlimited power of taxation will give them the command of all the treasures of the continent; a standing army will be wholly at their [the government] devotion.”

In December of 1787, a group of delegates to the Pennsylvania Ratification Convention wrote out their objections to the proposed constitution. In these objections they wrote the following. “The system of despotism is when a numerous standing army shall render opposition vain.”

What better illustration of this warning was the events surrounding the confiscation of legally owned and possessed firearms in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina by a standing army consisting of National Guard troops, the US Coast Guard and numerous people in uniforms and badges. Did the members of this standing army not render the opposition of the people of New Orleans vain? If your mind needs refreshing as to how even old women were treated by members of this standing army, take some time and watch this.

Robert Yates, a delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1787 from New York, left that convention along with fellow delegate John Lansing explaining to then Governor of New York George Clinton their reason for leaving was their belief the people at that convention were exceeding the powers granted to them by the people of the several states. Yates, a judge, would write letters explaining his opposition of the proposed constitution under the name of “Brutus.” Yates was also very knowledgeable of history and used that knowledge as a point of reference in his often stated objection to a standing army. In his first essay Yates wrote the following:

“It might be here shown, that the power of the federal legislative, to raise and support armies at pleasure, as well in peace as in war, and their controul over the militia, tend, not only to a consolidation of the government, but the destruction of liberty.

In despotic governments, as well as in all the monarchies of Europe, standing armies are kept up to execute the commands of the prince or the magistrate, and are employed for this purpose when occasion requires: But they have always proved the destruction of liberty, and [as] abhorrent to the spirit of a free republic.”

Today, as most Americans go about celebrating “Independence Day,” they will at the same time honor and support those who will destroy their independence with one command from our strong central government.

There exists only one reason to fear the tyranny of people like Obama, Harry Reid, Bill and Hillary, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John McCain, John Kerry, Diane Goldman Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, federal judges and others in positions of power. That reason is the large numbers of military personnel and uniforms and badges at their disposal who will be the very people who see themselves as duty bound to follow orders and will come to seize your firearms, march you away to a gulag and shoot you if you resist.

People, you cannot pay homage to those who declared themselves independent from a despotic ruler in King George III and at the same time honor and support members of the current standing army in our country. Freedom, Independence and tyranny do not exist in the same package. You cannot honor Thomas Jefferson, the author of our Declaration of Independence, and the person who will follow orders and confiscate your guns and shoot you if you resist at the same time, on the same day.

Good points made well.

The police Chief of New Orleans should have been prosecuted for criminal violation of the second amendment and our elected public servants should have stopped that. There was no better time than that where being armed should have been appropriate.

I recall during the LA riots where shop owners stood in front and on top of their stores with shotguns to stop looters. The same applied to Katrina in my view. But, New Orleans is another liberal city with much like Detroit or Chicago.

Soon our standing army will be made mostly of illegal immigrants that were promised citizenship after a set time in servitude and Muslims.
The concept of the “Citizen Army” is, I believe, a valid one and I’d take it a couple of steps further: every citizen must spend at least 2 years in government service and those who were in the military keep your weapons (pistol and rifle) and serve (in some part-time capacity) until at least the age of 60.
Our officer academies stifle original thought, even to the point that cadets are proud to say – in public, mind you – that they are doing their very best to “weed-out the Patton’s”, as if that’s something to be proud of.
Actually (in my opinion), this country has produced two outstanding Generals: Nathan Bedford Forrest and George S. Patton.
Yes, you are totally correct: they (Obama and his Left Wing/anti-Constitutional Administration) want to confiscate our weapons. They (our traitors to the Constitution) have been, as I know you know but many others do not, that Obama has been following the blueprint for “How to Takeover a Country”, by the National Socialist Party (NAZI).
By supporting the abolishment of the Second Amendment, it’s the exact same thing as supporting the abolishing the Constitution: you cannot possibly have one without the other.
